Media content output in a physical environment having a plurality of entity-device interfaces

Abstract

A system and method for media content output are provided. The method includes detecting and obtaining classification data elements of a first entity in a predefined zone of a physical environment; tracking movement of the first entity from the predefined zone in the physical environment using a network of entity tracking sensors to generate and maintain a first entity tracking record; in response to detecting a second entity at a location which corresponds to a current location of the first entity tracking record, tracking movement of the second entity in the physical environment from the location to generate and maintain a second entity tracking record; and, in response to determining that the current location of the second entity tracking record is within a predefined range of an entity-device interface of a plurality of entity device interfaces, initiating retrieval and output of media content to the entity-device interface.
