Method for rapid screening of klebsiella pneumoniae bacteriophage

Abstract

Disclosed is a method for rapid screening of a KP bacteriophage, which relates to the field of microbial technologies. The method comprises the steps of adding resazurin sodium to a screening culture medium and screening for the KP bacteriophage; and the specific operation of screening for the KP bacteriophage comprises the steps of: pre-treating a sample to obtain a sample solution; subjecting the sample solution to enrichment treatment to obtain an enrichment solution; evenly mixing a liquid culture medium, a resazurin sodium solution, and the enrichment solution, inoculating KP, and performing standing incubation; and upon completion of the incubation, determining a screening result based on a color change of a reaction system. The method achieves bacteriophage detection based on a redox indication characteristic of the resazurin sodium and can meet the technical demand for rapid and simple screening of the KP bacteriophage, thereby providing an important tool and means for research and clinical applications of KP bacteriophages.
