A method for attaching sheets of packaging material and an article of packaging

Abstract

The invention provides a method of attaching two sheets, namely a first sheet and a second sheet, of packaging material together, and an article comprising the two attached sheets. The method includes providing a first flap in the first sheet, the first flap having a first fold line about which it is foldable and a flat end opposite the first fold line and providing a second flap in the second sheet, the second flap being similarly shaped to the first flap and having a second fold line about which it is foldable, wherein the second flap is oppositely orientated to the first flap in that the second fold line is operatively aligned with the flat end. The method includes folding the first flap back to expose a cutout in the first sheet, the cutout having a flat side corresponding to the flat end of the first flap and folding the second flap through the cutout, the second fold line being folded over the flat side of the cutout.
