Abstract

The present invention discloses a cobalt-loaded walnut shell biochar and a preparation method and use thereof. In the present invention, due to the rich electronic configuration of transition metal cobalt (Co), it may achieve the cycling of Co 2+ / Co 3+ after being activated by peroxysulfate, and is an efficient element for generating ·SO4 2-. Loading cobalt onto a biochar carrier to construct a heterogeneous catalyst may effectively prevent cobalt ion leaching and improve catalyst stability. Meanwhile, the biochar itself, with its large specific surface area, abundant pore structure, and surface functional groups, may provide additional adsorption sites and electron transfer pathways, generating a synergistic catalytic effect with cobalt active sites. The preparation method not only enables resource utilization of agricultural and forestry waste walnut shells, reducing production costs, but also significantly increases the specific surface area and active sites of the cobalt-loaded walnut shell biochar, enabling efficient degradation of TBBPA in wastewater.
