Spout attachment for a container and a cover therefor

Abstract

The invention relates to a spout attachment for a container that may include a cover and lid assembly designed to enhance sealing and usability. The spout attachment includes a body, a spout formation extending from a portion of the body and connecting means for connecting the body to the container. Securing means is provided for securing the spout attachment to the container. The securing means may be operable between a first, secured state in which the connecting means exerts a holding force on the container to secure the spout attachment to the container and a second, released state in which the holding force is released or reduced to allow the spout attachment to be detached from the container.
