Abstract
The present invention is related to an augmented reality based rehabilitation and posture correction system. The invention includes a guidance system using augmented reality in physiotherapy which can track in real time the body posture and accordingly provide immediate correction prompts in order to obtain proper performance of the exercise. The system uses visual and audio feedback to correct the original posture of the patient who wears devices like Microsoft HoloLens, which overlays a perfect posture model on patient view. It has an injury-specific exercise library, tracking of repetitions and integration with the cloud to be checked by the physiotherapist. This mobile and interactive solution helps the patients improve their recovery, minimize face-to-face visits, and expand physiotherapy to underserved regions.
