Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of sodium-ion batteries, and in particular to a repaired and modified layered cathode material for sodium-ion batteries, its preparation method and application. The general chemical formula of the cathode material is Na1-zNi1 / 3Fe1 / 3Mn1 / 3-x-yAlxMgyCazO2, where x, y and z each range from 0.025 to 0.075. Through optimization experiments, it is found that the initial specific discharge capacity of the synthesized Na19 / 20Ni1 / 3Fe1 / 3Mn7 / 30Al1 / 2Mg1 / 20Ca1 / 20O2 cathode materials is 127.6 milliampere-hour per gram, and the capacity retention rate could reach 84.88 percent after 300 cycles. As may be seen from the figures, after one-step doping modification, the structure recovers well and shows a single morphology, and the peak pattern of XRD is sharp and the strength is high. To sum up, the method provided by the invention may repair and modify the failed sodium ion layered cathode material in one step.
