Abstract
A capacitive or inductive sensing system can reject noise from a plurality of sensing electrodes in the proximity of a sensed object such as a finger or metal object. A method for rejecting noise in a capacitive or inductive system comprises the scanning of a plurality of sensing electrodes, first with a single frequency to generate a reference capacitance measurement, and then with three or more frequencies to generate three or more capacitive measurements respectively.
