Abstract
The present invention provides a soil improvement method based on perennial ryegrass-earthworm symbiosis and sulfur enhancement, belonging to the technical field of soil remediation. This method utilizes the synergistic combination of perennial ryegrass, earthworms, and sulfur to improve soil. The perennial ryegrass creates favorable habitat conditions for earthworms, significantly increasing their population and biomass in farmland. This, in turn, further enhances soil dehydrogenase and urease activities, effectively promotes the decomposition of soil organic matter, accelerates the soil nitrogen cycle, and strengthens the material transformation and cycling functions of the soil ecosystem. The combined application of earthworms and sulfur treatment with perennial ryegrass fully leverages synergistic effects, promoting the lead absorption capacity of the ryegrass and significantly improving the phytoremediation efficiency for lead-contaminated farmland soil. This provides an effective technical pathway for heavy metal remediation in contaminated farmland during the fallow period, achieving the triple objectives of creating earthworm habitats, phytoremediation of soil heavy metals, and overall soil improvement.
