Abstract

The present invention relates to the technical field of fracture mechanics testing, and particularly to a visualized combined test method for cross-sectional crushing and crack propagation of cylindrical shells. The test device adopted includes a pressure chamber. The two ends inside the pressure chamber are provided with connection interfaces for fixing the test pipe fitting. The top of the pressure chamber is provided with a water inlet. The test device further includes a data monitoring system. The data monitoring system includes a waterproof high-speed camera and a laser range finder installed inside the pressure chamber. The present invention can simultaneously perform cross-sectional crushing and crack propagation tests on the test pipe fitting, which can improve test efficiency. By applying water pressure on the outer side of the test pipe fitting, the propagation and rupture behavior of cracks on the outer surface of the test pipe fitting under external pressure is studied, which is more in line with actual working conditions and greatly improves the reference value of test results.
