Abstract
The present invention is related to a GSM technology based intelligent traffic management system for priority clearance of emergency vehicles. The core principle of GSM-based traffic clearance for emergency vehicles is to utilize the wireless communication networks to give high priority and facilitate a high-speed corridor for the emergency vehicles through dense traffic routes. The emergency vehicles equipped with GSM modules will transmit their location, speed, and direction to the central traffic management systems or traffic signal controllers. The emergency vehicle can then navigate junctions without delays due to these technologies' proactive alteration of traffic signals to create a green corridor. GSM also has the ability to notify drivers in the vicinity, urging them to move aside. This technique uses widely accessible and reasonably priced cellular networks to streamline traffic flow in real time, improving response times.
