Abstract

The present invention discloses a Shenmai formula compound preparation for treating Type II diabetes, belonging to the field of biomedicine. The invention uses red ginseng, Ophiopogon japonicus, Bletilla striata, Leonurus japonicus, Myrrh, Saposhnikovia divaricata, and Codonopsis pilosula as raw materials for the pharmaceutical composition. Through soaking, decocting, and filtering, a Shenmai formula compound preparation for treating Type II diabetes is prepared. Experimental results show that after oral administration of the Shenmai formula compound preparation provided by the present invention to hyperglycemic model mice for 20 days, the fasting blood glucose of the treatment group significantly decreased. The hypoglycemic efficacy of the Shenmai formula compound preparation is comparable to that of the positive control drug metformin and can be used to treat Type II diabetes. The present invention provides a new compound preparation drug for the treatment of Type II diabetes, with significant efficacy, no toxic side effects, outstanding clinical practical value, and broad application prospects.
