Method for retrieving glacier surface albedo based on landsat-8 OLI data

Abstract

Disclosed is a method for retrieving a glacier surface albedo based on Landsat-8 operational land imager (OLI) data, which belongs to the technical field of application of remote sensing for glaciers. The method for estimating a glacier surface albedo specifically includes steps as follows: S1) selecting, based on a substitutability principle, a remote sensing image covering a glacier in a research region; S2) performing radiometric correction on a Landsat-8 OLI remote sensing image; S3) performing topographic correction on the Landsat-8 OLI remote sensing image; and S4) retrieving the glacier surface albedo. According to the present invention, spatial-temporal distribution characteristics of the surface albedo of the glacier region can be quantitatively estimated, and a strategic basis is provided for monitoring of a glacier change.
