Abstract

This invention discloses a method for evaluating the risk of rock burst based on vibration waves. It involves setting an exciter to emit characteristic vibration wave signals into the coal mass, arranging geophones to pick up the vibration waves propagating in the coal mass, calculating the longitudinal wave velocity of the coal mass between two adjacent geophones according to the difference in first arrival time; during the coal mining process, calculating the change rate of the longitudinal wave velocity in the corresponding coal mass area as the working face advances, computing the corresponding rock burst risk index based on the logarithmic relationship between the coal-rock burst risk and the longitudinal wave velocity change rate, and classifying the rock burst risk index. This method may accurately determine the rock burst risk area and risk level, and is simple to operate and low in cost, with good applicability. It is of great significance for selecting reasonable prevention and control measures and ensuring the safe and efficient mining of the working face.
