An automatic material-switching device for a 3D printer

Abstract

This application relates to the field of 3D-printing material feeding, and particularly to an automatic material-switching device for a 3D printer. It comprises a housing, a feeding mechanism, a gating mechanism, a pressing mechanism, a detection assembly, a first sensing assembly, a second sensing assembly, and the like. The housing is provided with an inlet and an outlet pipeline to form a feeding channel. The feeding mechanism drives a feeding gear to move the filament. The gating mechanism selects one feeding channel from multiple feeding channels. The pressing mechanism cooperates to control the forward or backward movement of the filament. Based on sensing signals from the first sensing assembly and the second sensing assembly, the feeding length and the switching of the feeding channels are respectively controlled. This application features a compact structure and simple control, and can reliably realize multi-material printing, thereby improving printing accuracy and quality.
