Pharmaceutical composition and application thereof in preparation of drug for treating hypothyroidism

Abstract

The present invention discloses a pharmaceutical composition and its application in the preparation of a drug for treating hypothyroidism, relating to the technical field of traditional Chinese medicine. The pharmaceutical composition of the present invention for treating hypothyroidism, Pan Yi Shen Ding Jia Wei Decoction, is composed of the following raw materials in parts by weight: 15-25 parts of pig placenta dry powder, 5-15 parts of black ant powder, 6-12 parts of Salvia miltiorrhiza, 25-35 parts of Pseudostellaria heterophylla, and 8-18 parts of Viola philippica. The pharmacological effect of this composition in treating hypothyroidism is, first, to reduce damage to thyroid follicular cells, promote the proliferation and differentiation of thyroid follicular cells, and increase thyroid volume; generate new blood vessels and enrich blood supply; gradually restore the normal regulatory and controlling function of hypothalamic-pituitary cells over thyroid hormone secretion, increase the synthesis and secretion of thyroid hormones, improve immunity, inhibit lymphocyte-infiltrating inflammation, and reduce the concentration of anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies (ATPO) and anti-thyroglobulin antibodies (TGAb) or return them to normal levels.
