Abstract

Disclosed is a method for predicting operational range performance of an infrared imaging system based on laboratory calibration, relating to the technical field of performance prediction for an infrared imaging system, and including the following steps: calibrating, in a laboratory, a spatial frequency-minimum resolvable temperature difference curve of an infrared imaging system under an ideal condition, and converting the spatial frequency-minimum resolvable temperature difference curve into a spatial frequency-minimum resolvable radiant difference curve; acquiring a measured target imaging result of the infrared imaging system through field experiments, and calculating a radiant difference between a target and a background; back-calculating an actual spatial frequency; calculating an ideal spatial frequency; and calculating an operational range descent rate of the infrared imaging system based on the actual spatial frequency and the ideal spatial frequency.
