Abstract
The present invention discloses a prospecting method for porphyry copper-gold deposits based on the evolution trajectory of platinum-group elements, relating to the technical field of geological and mineral exploration. The method comprises: collecting rock samples in a target exploration area; the rock samples include ore-bearing rock masses and non-ore-bearing rock masses; preparing samples and conducting analytical tests on the collected samples to obtain element content data in the samples; pretreating the element content data to screen sample data that meet preset geochemical indicators; plotting scatter diagrams according to the screened data; establishing a discriminant model for describing the corresponding relationship between sulfide saturation timing and total sulfide saturation based on the plotted scatter diagrams; classifying the metallogenic system of the target exploration area into a corresponding metallogenic system scenario according to the discriminant model, and predicting the prospecting potential of the target exploration area. By integrating platinum-group elements, major elements, and trace elements for correlation analysis, the present invention can realize rapid prediction of the metallogenic potential of rock masses.
