Abstract
The present invention relates to the field of wastewater treatment technology, and in particular to a method for enhancing sludge fermentation-driven biological nitrogen removal, based on ultra-fast in situ enrichment of anammox bacteria. The invention addresses the sludge fermentation-driven biological nitrogen removal (SFBNR) process. By employing an operational strategy of “short-term HRT enhancement + addition of bio-carriers,” a hydrogen-producing functional microorganism, JABWBG01 sp013360575, is directionally cultivated in the in situ fermentation–denitrification continuous stirred tank reactor (SIFD-CSTR) of the process. The high-energy hydrogen produced by this microorganism amplifies the nitrogen metabolic electron pool of anaerobic ammonium-oxidizing bacteria (AnAOB), thereby accelerating carbon fixation and the biosynthesis of cellular components. This achieves ultra-fast in situ enrichment of AnAOB, promoting the efficient removal of Ammonium ion in the effluent derived from fermentation and optimizing the overall nitrogen removal performance of the SFBNR process.
