Abstract
The present invention is related to an IoT-enabled inhaler system designed for effective asthma management through a combination of hardware sensors, wireless connectivity, artificial intelligence, and cloud-based healthcare support. The smart inhaler device is equipped with a pressure / flow sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope to detect puff actuation, inhalation strength, and orientation, ensuring proper usage. Environmental data such as air quality, humidity, temperature, and pollen levels are integrated from onboard sensors or external APIs. This data, along with inhaler usage information, is transmitted to a cloud-based AI platform, where machine learning algorithms analyze patient adherence, inhalation patterns, and environmental triggers to generate personalized asthma risk scores. Patients receive real-time alerts, reminders, and warnings via a mobile application, while healthcare providers access a secure monitoring dashboard that displays adherence trends, environmental correlations, and AI-generated risk forecasts. The invention thus provides a comprehensive, predictive, and patient-centric asthma management system that surpasses the limitations of traditional and existing smart inhalers.
