Hydrophobic epoxy-modified polyether emulsion defoamer for papermaking and preparation method thereof

Abstract

The present application relates to the technical field of defoamers and specifically relates to a hydrophobic epoxy-modified polyether emulsion defoamer for papermaking and a preparation method thereof. The present application discloses a hydrophobic epoxy-modified polyether emulsion defoamer for papermaking, comprising the following raw materials in parts by weight: 14-30 parts of hydrophobic epoxy-modified fatty alcohol polyether, 3-6 parts of surfactant, 0.2-2 parts of thickener, and 50-80 parts of water. The hydrophobic epoxy-modified polyether emulsion prepared in the present application is an oil-in-water emulsion and can be rapidly and fully dispersed in water, thereby providing a faster defoaming effect. The hydrophobic epoxy-modified fatty alcohol polyether prepared in the present application is an emulsion without a cloud point, thus having a wider operating temperature range and superior applicability.
