Abstract
The present invention provides molecular marker primers, a kit, and their application for identifying the sex of Brachymystax tsinlingensis, belonging to the technical field of sex identification in salmonid fishes. By comparative analysis of the genomes of male and female Brachymystax tsinlingensis, the invention identifies two specific mutation sites in males and designs two primer pairs, 617-F1 / R1 and 556-F1 / R1, based on the flanking regions of these mutations. Each primer pair can independently identify the sex of Brachymystax tsinlingensis with stable, accurate, and reliable results. The molecular marker primers of the invention are significant for the advancement of genetic breeding efforts for Brachymystax tsinlingensis.
