According to an embodiment, a trained AI is provided that automatically identifies stems of a music work and loops within the stems. Information about the stems, the cut points of loops, and the loop's fundamental parameters will be formed into an AI Song pack. The remixing step uses the AI Song pack as a starting point and a database of loops is searched to identify audio loops that can replace loops with similar sonic characteristics in the music work to create a remix. Once some number of candidate loops have been identified a final remixed audio track will be produced which is comprised of replaced loops from the database. Alternatively, replacement stems might be created by replacing all loops in each stem. Finally, effects might be applied to the audio material created by either approach.
