The system performs preliminary actions by displaying both the original thumbnail images and the processed thumbnail images simultaneously before the user makes a final decision. This allows the user to preview the effect of selected image processes (such as hue correction, rotation, or other adjustments) on the thumbnails without actually committing to the processing yet. The processed thumbnails are generated and displayed in advance based on user selections, enabling visual confirmation of process influence while maintaining the ability to cancel or modify the processing.

The system merges the thumbnail display function with the process selection function into a single integrated screen. Instead of requiring separate screens for displaying thumbnails and selecting processes, the invention combines both functionalities so that users can view their selected image processes applied to thumbnails on the same screen where they make selections. This integration eliminates the need for repeated switching between screens while preserving the ability to select different processes for different images, as each thumbnail can have its own process applied and displayed alongside the original.

The system applies partial action by processing and displaying only the selected thumbnail images with their corresponding image processes, rather than processing all images in the collection. When users select specific thumbnails and apply processes to them, only those selected images are processed and displayed as processed thumbnails. This partial processing approach maintains productivity by enabling batch processing of selected images while reducing time loss compared to processing and displaying all images regardless of user selection.
