Abstract
A self-operated or therapist-assisted device specifically adapted for massaging body parts of a user affected by repetitive strain injuries such as tendinitis and carpal tunnel syndrome, comprising two clamping arms joined at one end and provided with an opening at the other. Flexible massage members are mounted on opposite intermediate sections of the arms. A body part can be placed between the two arms of the device to be actuated by the massage members, whereby the body part is held in an adjustable position between the pair of massage members and massaged by translational and rotational movements of the body part along an axis perpendicular to the mounting axes of the massage members.Alternatively, one of the device's arms can be detached from the device and used independently to massage body parts that would otherwise not fit between the device's arms.
