AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
The traditional six-minute walk test is difficult to implement in practice, and the accuracy and reliability of biomarkers are limited by trained observers, failing to directly assess users' physiological responses to physical activity.
Method used
By combining data from heart and accelerometer sensors, biomarkers are automatically calculated, taking into account the correlation between heart rate and walking speed, to generate biomarkers representing a user's health without the need for manual feedback.
Benefits of technology
It enables accurate monitoring of user health without the need for trained observers, providing objective biomarkers for improving health management.

Abstract
Medical monitoring systems, methods, and computer program products with cardiac sensors and acceleration sensors are provided. A medical monitoring system includes a sensor device configured to attach to a body of a user and an electronic device communicatively coupled to the sensor device. The sensor device includes a physiological sensor configured to obtain physiological data representative of cardiac activity of a user and an acceleration sensor configured to obtain acceleration data representative of movement of the user. The electronic apparatus comprises a processor configured to: (i) cause the sensor device to obtain physiological data and acceleration data during a time period; (ii) determining a biomarker representing the health of the user based on the physiological data and the acceleration data, wherein the biomarker represents a relationship between a speed of movement of the user and cardiac activity of the user during the time period; (iii) generating a data structure representing the biomarker, and (iv) storing the data structure in a hardware storage device.
