A method for deploying a real-time operating system and an electronic device

Abstract

This application relates to the field of operating system deployment technology, and discloses a deployment method and electronic device for a real-time operating system. The method includes: allocating a target kernel and its corresponding target memory to the real-time operating system (RTOS), and generating multiple ACPI tables; determining a target ACPI table from the multiple ACPI tables, removing the description information of the target kernel and its exclusive external devices from the target ACPI table, and locking the write protection mechanism; creating a dedicated domain for the RTOS, assigning the exclusive external devices to the dedicated domain, and configuring the exclusive external devices to have access permissions for the runtime area and the shared area; binding the interrupt request affinity of the exclusive external devices to the LAPIC of the target kernel; and in the page table of the RTOS, setting the access permissions of the runtime area to be inaccessible to the host operating system (OS), and opening the access permissions of the shared area to the host OS. Through the above methods, this application achieves deterministic responses to real-time tasks at the nanosecond or microsecond level.
