Dynamic volume mounting method, device and container orchestration system for running container

Abstract

The present disclosure provides a dynamic volume mounting method, device and container orchestration system for running containers, relating to the technical field of cloud computing, and particularly to the container orchestration technology. The implementation scheme is as follows: using a proxy unit deployed at a node to perform the following operations: obtaining a target volume mounting request from a running container running unit through a node local communication channel; verifying the target volume mounting request to determine whether to allow execution of the dynamic volume mounting indicated in the target volume mounting request; in response to the verification passing, determining a mounting point for the target volume on the node side based on the container storage interface (CSI) metadata attribute of the target volume; and mounting the target volume to a target path in the mounting namespace of a target container according to the determined mounting point, wherein the target container does not need to be restarted to access the target volume.
