Device for closing a banknote feed opening on a banknote stacking and transport cassette

Abstract

A banknote stacking and transport cassette, which is removably arranged in a receiving housing and can be removed from the receiving housing after actuation of a locking mechanism, wherein the banknote stacking and transport cassette has a banknote feed opening through which the banknote is fed by means of an auxiliary power-driven plunger and is pressed by a force-actuated, movable base plate against a support rib arranged laterally to the banknote feed opening, wherein locking lamellae (6) are associated with the banknote feed opening (3), which are moved from an open to a closed position by auxiliary power when the banknote stacking and transport cassette (2) is removed, characterized in that by activation of the control slide (31) the locking lamellae (6) assume the closed position and a locking element (32) acts on two double gear segments (14) with outer circumferential teeth,and that by further deflection of the control slide (31) a locking plate (29) with locking pin (5) of the banknote stacking and transport cassette (2) is released, which is locked and fixed in its position by pushing back the control slide (31).
