Process arrangement with a welding device (5) and with an assembly (6) to be welded, consisting of an upper workpiece (1) facing the welding device (5) and a lower workpiece (3) facing away from the welding device (5), wherein a hole weld (4) can be welded through the overlapping upper workpiece (1) into the lower workpiece (3) using the welding device (5), wherein the welding device (5) is integrated into a control loop (R) in which an electronic control unit (15) controls the welding device (5) with a control signal (y) depending on a setpoint (z), wherein the process arrangement is a self-learning system in which the setpoint (z) can be determined in a learning process upstream of the welding process, characterized in that, for carrying out the learning process, the process arrangement has a radiometry device (13) which performs an inspection of the joining zone to be welded by means of radiographs.
