VEHICLE SYSTEMS TO IMPROVE ENTRY AND EXIT FOR USERS

Abstract

A vehicle system for assisting a user in a parking lot comprises a sensing module configured to receive data about the parking lot and a control module. The control module is configured to use the data received from the sensing module to determine whether a parking space is available in the parking lot, to determine the size of the space required by the user when exiting the vehicle, to determine, based on the determined size of the required space, whether the available parking space provides sufficient room for the user, and, in response to determining that the available parking space provides sufficient room for the user, to optimize the vehicle's parking orientation relative to at least one boundary of the available parking space based on the space required by the user.Further examples of vehicle systems and methods for assisting users in parking lots are also revealed.
