Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates initially to a dosing device according to claim 1.
[0002] Dosing devices for supplying media to a target device have been developed and manufactured by the applicant for decades.
[0003] Dosing devices of the known type can successively supply media, e.g. detergent components, or washing and cleaning agents, to a target device, e.g. a textile washing machine.
[0004] In cleaning and washing processes, a precisely measured amount of medium is added at predetermined times to achieve the desired washing or cleaning effect. The temperature of the washing solution, for example, plays a crucial role in this process.
[0005] To achieve the necessary washing or cleaning effects, and potentially also disinfection effects, in washing or cleaning processes, especially in textile washing systems, it is generally necessary to operate the equipment at a specific temperature, particularly by heating the washing solution to a high temperature. For example, disinfection effects, using certain disinfectants to kill germs such as bacteria, are only achieved if the disinfection process is carried out at a minimum temperature of, for example, 80°C.
[0006] Alternatively, disinfectant solutions can be used that allow textiles to be washed even at low temperatures while achieving good disinfection performance or effect. However, these often involve chemicals that fall into a special hazard class and therefore require, for example, special measures during transport, storage, and handling.
[0007] For safety reasons, such substances are often not usable in washing and cleaning businesses or require elaborate safety measures.
[0008] The invention is based on the objective of further developing a dosing device in such a way that it ensures the simple execution of washing or cleaning processes, and / or in particular also disinfection processes.
[0009] The invention solves this problem with the features of claim 1.
[0010] The principle of the invention essentially consists of providing a dosing device with which not only different media are supplied to a target device, but also a chemical that can be produced from several different media. The chemical can be produced from various different media in a mixing container. The chemical can, in particular, be a laundry treatment substance, and furthermore, in particular, a disinfectant or a bleaching agent.
[0011] The metering device according to the invention comprises a mixing distributor arrangement having several inlets and at least one outlet. For example, the mixing distributor arrangement can comprise an inlet disc and an outlet disc rotatable relative to it.
[0012] In particular, the mixing distributor arrangement includes an actuator that switches different communication paths in different positions. Different inlets can be connected to at least one outlet, or, if multiple outlets are provided, to one of several outlets.
[0013] The dosing unit, in particular the mixing distributor assembly, has several inlets on the input side. Several different containers are connected to these inlets. The containers hold different media.
[0014] The dosing device also includes a mixing container. The mixing container is connected to, or can be connected to, the outlet of the mixing distributor assembly.
[0015] The different media used to produce the chemical can be mixed together in the mixing container.
[0016] For example, the media triacetin, hydrogen peroxide, and sodium hydroxide can be arranged in three different containers at the inlet of the mixing distributor assembly. A control unit for the dosing device, using a pump, can successively draw predetermined quantities of these three media from the respective containers and convey them to the mixing container.
[0017] In particular, the control system can initiate a flushing of the pipework each time a medium has been conveyed through the mixing distributor assembly to the mixing vessel. For example, a flushing medium reservoir containing a flushing medium, especially water, can be provided at the inlet of the mixing distributor assembly.
[0018] At least one through-channel in the mixing distributor arrangement can be flushed with flushing medium each time after medium has been pumped.
[0019] This ensures that no unintentional contact occurs between different media, especially before the media have been added to the mixing container.
[0020] The mixing vessel can be designed as a reactor, i.e., as a reaction vessel. Different media can react with each other in the vessel. They can also simply be mixed together there. The mixing vessel can, for example, be equipped with a stirrer.
[0021] Alternatively, the different media can also be mixed into a chemical in such a way that, as a result of multiple circulation processes by pumping the mixed media or the chemical in a cycle through the mixing container, a desired mixing of the media is achieved.
[0022] The chemical is produced in the mixing vessel by mixing and, if necessary, allowing the various media to react with each other. Chemical production can be carried out in portions or batches. It can also be performed on demand, i.e., dependent on a request command received by the dosing unit's control system from the target device's control unit.
[0023] The finished chemical can then be conveyed from the dosing unit to the target device.
[0024] In contrast to the prior art, the invention proposes on-site production of the chemical. Furthermore, the chemical can be produced in only small quantities and, in particular, can be used immediately.
[0025] The system is specifically designed so that the dosing unit only initiates the production of the chemical after receiving a request command from the target device, and specifically only in the requested quantity. This ensures that only small volumes of the chemical need to be produced and handled in the mixing container.
[0026] In one embodiment of the invention, the chemical, which is inherently dangerous and potentially difficult to handle, is not stored for long periods of time; instead, the manufactured chemical is used immediately after production.
[0027] The invention also includes situations where several portions of the chemical are produced in one go in the mixing container.
[0028] The device relates in particular to a dosing device with which a disinfectant can be conveyed to the target device.
[0029] Peracetic acid is a suitable disinfectant. It can be produced from three components: triacetin, hydrogen peroxide, and sodium hydroxide.
[0030] Alternatively, chlorine dioxide can also be produced, for example. Of course, different starting materials are required for this.
[0031] The dosing device according to the invention can successively supply the different media to the mixing container with the aid of a pump, in particular a peristaltic pump.
[0032] To achieve this, the control system can first activate an actuator of the mixing distributor assembly to establish a desired initial communication path between a first container and the mixing container, and then activate the pump to deliver a predetermined quantity of the first medium to the mixing container. The control system can then activate the actuator again to achieve a flushing position for purging the pipework. Finally, the control system can move the actuator to another position where a second container with a second medium is in communication with the mixing container, and then activate the pump to deliver a predetermined quantity of the second medium to the mixing container.
[0033] This step can be repeated for other media if necessary.
[0034] Once the chemical has been produced, the mixing distributor assembly can be addressed by the controller to establish another communication path, connecting the mixing vessel to the target device. The controller can then activate a pump, which can deliver the produced chemical to the target device in the required quantity.
[0035] In one embodiment of the invention, a first mixing distributor arrangement and a second mixing distributor arrangement are provided.
[0036] A single pump can be arranged between the two mixing distributor arrangements.
[0037] An inlet of the first mixing distributor assembly can be connected to an outlet of the mixing vessel. Depending on the communication paths selected, the pump located between the two mixing distributor assemblies can either pump the medium to the mixing vessel or pump the chemical to the target device.
[0038] Alternatively, in a different position of the positioning element, a medium can be conveyed directly to the target device.
[0039] The dosing unit can therefore supply the target devices with the chemical and also directly with media.
[0040] The invention also includes embodiments in which several target devices are provided that can be supplied with media as well as with the chemical.
[0041] The invention also includes the provision of a pump for the chemical that differs from the pump used to transport media to the mixing container.
[0042] The mixing vessel may include a device that allows reaction products to be vented. For example, venting can occur during the production of peracetic acid. To prevent excessively high pressures from building up in the mixing vessel, a pressure equalization device, such as a pressure relief valve, may be installed.
[0043] To increase the reactivity of different media with each other to form a chemical and / or to...
[0044] To increase the reaction rates of the media with each other, surface area enlargement agents can be provided in or on the mixing container. For example, fillers such as ceramic spheres are suitable for this purpose. Other fillers can also be used.
[0045] The dosing device according to the invention can optionally have all the features of dosing devices as described in the following patent applications of the applicant: DE 10 2011 108 396 A1, DE 10 2011 119 021 A1, DE 10 2011 122 921 A1, DE 10 2012 012 913 A1, DE 10 2014 002 560 A1, DE 10 2014 010 126 A1, DE 10 2015 107 105 A1, DE 10 2015 107 976 A1, DE 10 2016 102 829 A1, DE 10 2017 114 767 A1, DE 10 2017 103 168 A1, DE 10 2017 114 665 A1, DE 10 2018 113 644 A1, DE 10 2018 122 651 A1, DE 10 2020 107 555 A1, DE 10 2020 107 558 A1, DE 10 2023 123 774 A1 and DE 10 2024 110 910 A1.
[0046] The aforementioned patent applications of the applicant are hereby included in the disclosure content of the present patent application – to avoid repetition; this is also explicitly for the purpose of including features from the referenced dosing devices of the applicant in the content of the present patent application, including the claims, if necessary.
[0047] It is particularly noted that the mixing distributor arrangements described in the present patent application may have a construction and mode of operation similar to the mixing distributor arrangements according to the referenced patent applications.
[0048] A chemical within the meaning of the present invention is a solution produced by composition or mixture of at least two different media, preferably at least three different media, or by a reaction product of at least two or at least three different media. The chemical is particularly liquid and can be pumped through fluid lines. It may, for example, be a disinfectant solution, a bleaching agent, or another substance used in a washing or cleaning process.
[0049] The chemical is produced in the mixing container and can be diluted to any desired degree or produced in a predetermined concentration by adding rinsing medium, especially water.
[0050] The invention also includes, in particular, the control system arranging for the mixing vessel to be rinsed with rinsing medium each time after a chemical has been produced.
[0051] The invention may also include the control system causing the mixing container to be completely emptied after each production of a chemical.
[0052] The invention also encompasses situations where the dosing device is configured to allow the production of different chemicals in a single mixing container. However, according to the invention, a complete emptying and rinsing of the mixing container is preferably provided before a new chemical is produced in the container.
[0053] The invention further encompasses a dosing device that includes a temperature sensing device, e.g., a temperature sensor. The temperature sensing device can be configured to measure and / or detect the ambient temperature and / or the temperature inside the mixing container and / or the temperature of the media. The temperature sensing device can be connected to the control system.
[0054] According to the invention, the control system can be configured to take into account the measured values obtained from the temperature sensing device during the production of the chemical and / or during the conveying of media and / or during the dosing of media and / or during the conveying of the chemical. For example, situations may arise in which different media react with each other during the production of the chemical. The reaction rate of the media may depend on the ambient temperature at the time of the chemical reaction and / or on the temperature of the media. Depending, for example, on the measured ambient temperature of the mixing vessel or depending on the measured temperature of the media or individual media, there may be different production times for the chemical, which can be taken into account by the control system.
[0055] In this context, the control system can, for example, take different waiting times into account. A waiting time can, for instance, include the fact that after all or some of the media have been fed into the mixing container for the production of the chemical, the control system of the dosing device according to the invention waits for a certain period of time until further media are fed into the mixing container or until the chemical is conveyed from the mixing container to a target device.
[0056] The reaction efficiency and / or reactivity of different media during the production of the chemical may also depend on a measured temperature and be taken into account by the control of the dosing device during the production of the chemical.
[0057] Assuming that all media are connected to the dosing device for an extended period and, in particular, are located in the same room, measuring the ambient temperature can provide information about the temperature of the media. However, if a container with a new medium is connected to the dosing device, the temperature of the medium may differ from the ambient temperature of the dosing device or the ambient temperature of the mixing container. In this case, the invention provides for measuring the temperature of the medium itself. For this purpose, a temperature sensor can be arranged, for example, on the container for the medium and / or on the suction lance for the medium.
[0058] According to the invention, information about the viscosity of a medium can be obtained from a temperature measurement of the medium by the control system. The viscosity of a medium can also be temperature-dependent. When a pump is activated to convey the medium, the control system can take into account information about the viscosity and / or temperature of the medium during conveyance to the mixing vessel.
[0059] Depending on different viscosities or different temperatures, the properties of media that have previously mixed together can also differ.
[0060] In its simplest form, the temperature sensing device can consist of a thermometer connected to the controller.
[0061] According to the invention, the control system can monitor the temperature or temperature profile inside the mixing vessel. The control system can use the information resulting from this monitoring, for example, to monitor whether the reactions of the media taking place in the mixing vessel are proceeding correctly and / or as expected.
[0062] If the control system detects, for example, a deviation of a measured actual temperature in the mixing container from an expected target temperature, the control system can intervene in the chemical manufacturing process if necessary, and stop this process and / or generate an alarm signal.
[0063] The invention also encompasses situations where chemicals are produced in the mixing vessel that are only stable for short periods, e.g., only a few minutes. According to the invention, the control system can be configured, in particular, to ensure that the chemical is conveyed to the target device at a time when its stability is guaranteed.
[0064] The duration for which the chemical remains stable can also depend on the ambient temperature.
[0065] Particularly for chemicals that are only stable for short periods of time, the control system according to the invention can take into account a detected ambient temperature of the mixing container and, taking into account the ambient temperature of the mixing container, ensure that the chemical is conveyed to the target device at a time when it is guaranteed that the chemical is stable.
[0066] In one embodiment of the invention, the control system can also obtain information about the stability of the chemical from a measurement or detection of the ambient temperature or a temperature profile in the mixing vessel. For example, the invention may include the control system measuring and / or monitoring a temperature profile in the mixing vessel that is characteristic of a chemical reaction. From this temperature profile, the control system can obtain information about the stability of the chemical.
[0067] The target device could be, for example, a washing machine, a dishwasher, or a mop cleaning system. It could also be any washing or cleaning system.
[0068] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the chemical can be extracted from the mixing vessel and conveyed to the target device with the aid of the pump. This embodiment of the invention enables a particularly simple design and the use of only a single pump for conveying media and the chemical. In particular, an outlet of the mixing vessel can be connected to an inlet of the mixing distributor assembly. The mixing distributor assembly can be connected on its outlet side to a second mixing distributor assembly, so that, depending on the position of the actuator of the second mixing distributor assembly, an inlet of the second mixing distributor assembly is connected either to the mixing vessel or to a target device.
[0069] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the chemical can be extracted from the mixing container and conveyed to the target device using a separate chemical pump. This embodiment of the invention enables a particularly simple design and requires, for example, only a single pump for conveying media and a single pump for conveying the chemical. In particular, an outlet of the mixing container can be connected to an inlet of the mixing distributor assembly.
[0070] The mixing distributor arrangement can be connected on the output side, for example, to a second mixing distributor arrangement, so that, depending on the position of the actuator of the second mixing distributor arrangement, an inlet of the second mixing distributor arrangement is connected either to the mixing container or to a target device.
[0071] This design also allows for the alternative use of a single mixing distributor arrangement with two or more outlets, each outlet of which has its own pump. A first pump can deliver media to the mixing container. A second pump can deliver the chemical from the mixing container to a target device.
[0072] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the mixing distributor arrangement has an actuating element that can be addressed by the control system and that switches different communication paths between the inlets and the at least one outlet in different actuating positions. This embodiment of the invention allows for the use of conventional mixing distributor arrangements of the applicant.
[0073] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the metering device comprises a fluid line system with which the containers can be connected to the mixing container and with which the mixing container can be connected to the target device. This embodiment of the invention enables a particularly simple design.
[0074] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, at least one container containing a washing aid can be connected directly to the target device via the fluid piping system, bypassing the mixing container. This embodiment of the invention enables a connection between a container and a target device within the framework of a conventional washing or cleaning process.
[0075] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, an outlet of the mixing container is connected to an inlet of the mixing distribution arrangement. This embodiment of the invention allows the use of conventional mixing distribution arrangements and a particularly simple construction of a dosing device according to the invention.
[0076] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the outlet of the mixing distributor arrangement is connected to an inlet of a switching device or to an inlet of a second mixing distributor arrangement having multiple outlets. This embodiment of the invention comprises, for example, a first mixing distributor arrangement and a second mixing distributor arrangement, wherein the first mixing distributor arrangement has one outlet and the second mixing distributor arrangement has multiple outlets. This allows for the use of conventional mixing distributor arrangements of the applicant.
[0077] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, a first outlet of the second mixing distribution arrangement or a first outlet of the switching device is connected to the mixing container, and a second outlet of the second mixing distribution arrangement or a second outlet of the switching device is connected to the target device. This embodiment of the invention enables the realization of a metering device with only a single pump and thus a simple design.
[0078] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, a third outlet of the second mixing distribution arrangement or the switching device is connected to a second target device. This embodiment of the invention enables the supply of multiple target devices with media and with a chemical.
[0079] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the mixing distribution arrangement for switching different communication paths comprises an input disk and an output disk rotatable relative to it. This embodiment of the invention allows for the use of conventional mixing distribution arrangements.
[0080] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, an inlet is connected to a flushing medium reservoir. This embodiment of the invention enables the piping of the lines after each conveyance of media or chemicals.
[0081] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the control system initiates a flushing of the pipelines with a flushing medium after each dispensing of a medium. This embodiment of the invention enables reliable operation and ensures a long service life of the dosing device.
[0082] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, a safety device is assigned to the mixing container. This embodiment of the invention ensures the safe operation of the dosing device according to the invention and takes into account, for example, that the different media may only react with each other in the mixing container.
[0083] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the safety device comprises an overflow sensor and / or a level sensor and / or a flow meter. This embodiment of the invention enables safe operation. In particular, the safety device can detect whether a maximum liquid level in the mixing vessel has been reached or exceeded. The safety device can also include a level sensor. This sensor can measure the current fill level. If a level detector, sensor, or overflow sensor is triggered, and thus, for example, an irregularity or an excessively high fill level is detected, the control system can, for example, trigger an alarm via an alarm device, causing an alarm to be displayed or issued, or immediately shutting down a pump, or taking some other action.
[0084] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the safety device comprises a scale. This embodiment of the invention enables particularly safe operation. The scale serves, in particular, to monitor the volumes of medium being conveyed. This makes it easy to determine whether the predetermined quantity of medium has reached the mixing container. If the expected value does not correspond to the actual value, an alarm signal is triggered.
[0085] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the safety device comprises a proof-of-delivery mechanism. This embodiment of the invention enables simple operation. The mechanism can determine whether a quantity of medium predetermined by the control unit actually reaches the mixing container. If unforeseen problems occur, for example, if the measurement result does not correspond to expectations, a warning signal can be generated or the dosing process can be stopped immediately.
[0086] In the event that the safety device detects an irregularity or a malfunction of the dosing unit or the mixing container, various warning levels can be triggered. One of the warning levels that can be initiated by the dosing unit may include a signal to the operator that no access to the mixing container is permitted, and in particular, that the mixing container must not be opened.
[0087] Such signaling can be done, for example, in an optical, acoustic or electronic way.
[0088] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the dosing device includes a safety device comprising an indicator that can signal to an operator whether, or that, a medium and / or a chemical is present in the mixing container. This prevents hazards to the operating personnel caused by the unintentional opening of the mixing container.
[0089] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the safety device includes a pre-checking device. This embodiment of the invention enables particularly safe operation. The pre-checking device can ensure that, at the start of chemical production and before the commencement of conveying the multiple media A, B, and C to the mixing vessel, it is checked whether the required quantities of media are still present in the vessel. For example, before the commencement of conveying the first chemical A, the control system can check whether all three chemicals A, B, and C are still available in the predetermined, required quantities in the connected vessels. If such an availability check reveals that even one medium is not present in the required quantity, the chemical production is omitted. An operator can also be notified of an empty medium in an optical, acoustic or electronic way.
[0090] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the mixing vessel is designed to be reaction-resistant and / or reaction-safe. This embodiment of the invention enables safe operation. The mixing vessel is, in particular, made of a suitable material that can withstand the expected reactions, especially the expected pressure and temperature during the production of the chemical. The design of the mixing vessel and its corresponding physical properties, such as wall thickness, compressive strength, or the like, are also subject to safety requirements.
[0091] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, a stirrer is assigned to the mixing vessel. This embodiment of the invention enables particularly safe production of the chemical and a high reaction rate.
[0092] It should be noted that the production of certain chemicals may require waiting times. The dosing system can take these waiting times into account both during the production of the chemical and during the supply of media and chemicals to the target device.
[0093] To bridge waiting times in particular, the dosing system can, for example, also have several mixing containers. Here, different chemicals can be produced, especially in portioned amounts, either simultaneously or at different times.
[0094] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the mixing container is arranged separately from the target device. This embodiment of the invention enables the dosing device to supply several target devices with media and / or with a chemical.
[0095] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the mixing container is arranged separately from the housing of the dosing device. This embodiment of the invention enables a particularly simple design and manufacture of the mixing container, independent of the manufacture of the dosing device.
[0096] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the mixing container is integrated into a housing of the dosing device. This embodiment of the invention enables a compact design of the dosing device and takes into account that the mixing container can be of a small size in order to enable the production of small volumes, e.g. 250 ml, of the chemical.
[0097] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the control unit is connected to a control unit of a target device. This embodiment of the invention enables request commands for specific media and for a chemical to be transmitted from a target device to the control unit of the dosing device.
[0098] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the control system, upon receiving a request command from the target device for a chemical, initiates the conveyance of the media to the mixing vessel and the production of the chemical, and subsequently, in particular, initiates the conveyance of the chemical to the target device. This embodiment of the invention enables the portion-controlled production of the chemical and its conveyance to a target device.
[0099] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the control system initiates the production of the chemical in portions and / or batches. This embodiment of the invention enables a particularly safe operating mode and takes into account that the chemical is produced in a predetermined quantity or portion only on demand and / or only for immediate consumption.
[0100] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the media are contained in three different containers. a) Triacetin, b) H₂O₂, and c) sodium hydroxide for mixing the chemical peracetic acid. This embodiment of the invention enables a particularly simple production of peracetic acid and its supply to a target device.
[0101] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the control unit acquires information about the delivery of medium to the mixing container or about the presence of medium in the mixing container. According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the control unit acquires information about a test performed by the control unit. a) whether medium was pumped to the mixing container, and / or b) what volume of medium was pumped to the mixing container, and / or c) which medium was pumped to the mixing container, and / or d) whether the correct medium was pumped to the mixing container.
[0102] This embodiment of the invention enables a particularly safe operating mode of a dosing device according to the invention.
[0103] The information described above can be recorded and / or stored by the controller in a retrievable format. Storage may be used, in particular, for documentation purposes. The controller can also transmit this information to an external computer if necessary, especially for documentation purposes.

[0138] The embodiments of the invention are explained with reference to the following description of the drawings: Exemplary embodiments of the invention are described in the following description of the figures, also with reference to the drawings. For the sake of clarity, identical or comparable parts, elements, or areas are designated with the same reference numerals, sometimes with the addition of lowercase letters, even where different embodiments are concerned.
[0139] Features described only in relation to one embodiment can also be provided in any other embodiment of the invention. Such modified embodiments are included in the invention, even if they are not shown in the drawings.
[0140] All disclosed features are essential to the invention. The disclosure of this application also fully incorporates the disclosure content of the associated priority documents (copy of the prior application) as well as the cited publications and the described devices of the prior art, also for the purpose of including one or more features of these documents in one or more claims of the present application.
[0141] A first embodiment of a dosing device according to the invention is designated in its entirety by reference numeral 10 in the drawings and is shown in Fig. 1 depicted.
[0142] The dosing device 10 comprises, on the inlet side, a number of containers 41a, 41b, 41c, 41d, 41e, which are filled with different media 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d, 11e. The media 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d, 11e can be withdrawn using suction lances 26a, 26b, 26c, 26d, 26e.
[0143] Containers 41a, 41b, 41c, 41d, 41e are connected via fluid lines 22a, 22b, 22c, 22d, 22e to inlets 19a, 19b, 19c, 19d, 19e of a first mixing distributor assembly 15. The first mixing distributor assembly 15 is connected on its outlet side via an outlet 20a to a second mixing distributor assembly 16, which has only one inlet 19h but several outlets 20b, 20c, 20d, 20e.
[0144] The metering device 10 is connected to target devices 13a, 13b, 13c via fluid lines 22g, 22h, 22i. In the exemplary embodiment, the target devices are Fig. 1Each washing machine is supplied by a textile washing machine. Each washing machine includes a program selector switch 30a, 30b, 30c and a control unit 29a, 29b, 29c. The control unit 29a, 29b, 29c is connected via signal lines 25a, 25b, 25c to a control unit 23 of the dosing device 10.
[0145] Upon receiving a request command from one of the target devices 13a, 13b, 13c via one of the signal lines 25a, 25b, 25c, the controller 23 can address the first mixing distributor arrangement 15 and, in particular, via a signal line 25d, address a motor 24a of the first mixing distributor arrangement 15 in order to switch the desired communication path between one of the inlets 19a, 19b, 19c, 19d, 19e and the outlet 20a.
[0146] Furthermore, the control unit 23 can address a motor 24b of the second mixing distributor arrangement 16 via a signal line 25e. This then activates a communication path between the inlet 19h and one of the outlets 20b, 20c, 20d. In this way, a communicative connection can be established between a selected container 41a, 41b, 41c, 41d, 41e and one of the target devices 13a, 13b, 13c, and the selected medium 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d, 11e – or also rinsing medium 12 – can be conveyed to a selected target device 13a, 13b, 13c.
[0147] The controller 23 can, via a signal line 25f, address a pump 28, e.g., a peristaltic pump, which acts on the fluid line section 22f. Depending on the request command received from one of the target devices 13a, 13b, 13c, the controller 23 can deliver the desired quantity of medium 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d, 11e to the desired target device 13a, 13b, 13c. Such a metering device is known from the patent applications of the applicant described above.
[0148] Each of the two mixing distributor arrangements 15, 16 can have an inlet disk 17a, 17b and an outlet disk 18a, 18b. These two disks 17a, 17b, 18a, 18b can be rotatable relative to each other about a rotation axis 210; they can, for example, be made of ceramic. Such mixing distributor arrangements 15, 16 are also sufficiently described in the applicant's aforementioned publications, so reference is made to them to avoid repetition.
[0149] On the inlet side, the first mixing distributor assembly 15 can also be connected to a pipe separation device 57. This can separate a domestic water connection or mains water connection 43 from a flushing medium reservoir 36 via a free-fall section 58 in order to prevent germ migration. The pipe separation device 57 can include a control unit 45.
[0150] This can be connected, for example, to level detectors 44a, 44b via signal lines 25y, 25z. The control unit 45 can also be connected to a valve 46 of the network water connection 43 via a signal line 25x.
[0151] The control unit 45 of the pipe cutting device 57 can be connected to the control unit 23 of the dosing device 10 via a signal line 25h.
[0152] Regarding the details of the design and operation of such a pipe cutting device 57, reference is made to the applicant's DE 10 2024 110 910 A1 to avoid repetition.
[0153] The dosing unit 10 can therefore also access water as a rinsing medium and use it, for example, for dosing processes, but also for diluting the chemical, and finally also for rinsing pipelines. The rinsing medium reservoir 36 is connected to the inlet 19f via a fluid line 22l.
[0154] A special feature of the embodiment according to the invention is that Figure 1 The following will now be explained: An outlet 20e of the second mixing distributor arrangement 16 is connected to a mixing container 21 via a fluid line 22j.
[0155] The mixing container 21 is designed to successively receive different media, e.g., media 11a, 11b, 11c, in predetermined quantities and, in particular, in a predetermined order. These media 11a, 11b, 11c are mixed together in the mixing container.
[0156] The media can also react with each other in the mixing container.
[0157] In this way, a chemical 27 can be produced from different media in the mixing container 21.
[0158] The mixing vessel 21 can be designed as a reactor and, for example, meet corresponding safety requirements. For example, the mixing vessel 21 can be made of a suitable material with a suitable wall thickness.
[0159] The mixing container 21 is used in particular for the portion-wise production of a quantity of chemical 27.
[0160] For example, the chemical peracetic acid, which is a known disinfectant, can be produced from the three components triacetin, H 2 O 2 and sodium hydroxide.
[0161] If a request command is sent from a target device, e.g. target device 13a, to the control unit 23 of the dosing unit 10 that a certain quantity of a certain disinfectant 27 is required at a certain time, the control unit 23 of the dosing unit 10 can switch the corresponding communication paths and activate the pump 28 by activating motors 24a, 24b of the first and second mixing distributor arrangement 15, 16.
[0162] The desired volumes of the three media can then be successively added to the mixing container 21 by the dosing device 10. The chemical 27 can then be produced in the mixing container 21.
[0163] The mixing container 21 is, as Figure 1 as can be seen, connected via a fluid line 22k to an inlet 19g of the first mixing distributor arrangement 15.
[0164] The chemical 27 can be withdrawn from the mixing container 21, as described in Figure 1The invention is illustrated as being carried out with the aid of a suction lance 26f. It also encompasses situations where the mixing container 21 has an outlet 35, which is arranged, in particular, in the area of a bottom 59 of the mixing container 21.
[0165] However, this embodiment is not shown in the drawings.
[0166] The specific design and dimensioning of the inlet 34 and outlet 35 of the mixing container 21 is left to the expert.
[0167] After the chemical 27 has been produced in the mixing vessel 21 from different media 11a, 11b, 11c, the control unit 23 can again address the motors 24a, 24b of the first mixing distributor arrangement 15 and the second mixing distributor arrangement 16, and switch the desired communication paths to the corresponding target device 13a, 13b, 13c in order to connect the inlet 19g communicatively with a selected target device, e.g. 13a.
[0168] The controller 23 can then activate the pump 28 and deliver the chemical 27 in the desired quantity to the selected target device, e.g., target device 13a. Target device 13a can thus be supplied with the desired volume of chemical 27.
[0169] The main advantage of such a dosing device 10 according to Figure 1 This consists, for example, of the following: Chemical 27 may, for instance, be subject to a special safety classification. This entails special requirements for the transport, storage, and handling of the chemical. Since, according to the invention, chemical 27 is only produced on-site, and immediately before its use, from various media 11a, 11b, 11c, handling is simplified.
[0170] The individual components 11a, 11b, 11c can be handled, transported or stored more easily by being classified in lower safety or hazard classes.
[0171] The chemical 27 produced in the mixing container 21 can be produced immediately before its use and used immediately after its production and supplied to the target device 13a.
[0172] Furthermore, the chemical 27 can be prepared in the desired concentration or dilution with water 12.
[0173] The rinsing medium reservoir 36 can also be connected to the mixing container 21 via the dosing device 10. At a desired time, water 12 can be added to the mixing container 21, or to the mixture of media or chemical 27 in the mixing container 21. This allows, for example, dilution of the chemical 27 if required.
[0174] The invention also includes the metering device 10 ensuring that the fluid lines are flushed with flushing medium 12 each time a medium 11a, 11b, 11c is conveyed to the mixing container 21. In this way, unwanted contact between different media 11a, 11b, 11c outside the mixing container 21 can be avoided.
[0175] Conventional disinfectants, such as those used in washing processes, can only exert their full chemical effect at high temperatures. Therefore, in the prior art, the washing liquor in a target device 13a, 13b, 13c must be heated to a temperature of, for example, 80°C. The disinfectant produced according to the invention is manufactured in the mixing vessel 21. Peracetic acid can exert its full disinfecting effect at significantly reduced temperatures, for example, just over 40°C. This allows for considerable energy savings in the washing process, as the washing liquor no longer needs to be heated to the previously required high temperature.
[0176] The invention also includes situations where a mixing container 21 allows the production of a chemical 27 in larger quantities than one portion, but allows, for example, the production of three or five portions of the chemical.
[0177] The mixing container 21 can be integrated into a housing 42 of the dosing device 10, or arranged separately from a housing 42 of the dosing device 10. Advantageously, the mixing container 21 is arranged separately from the target device 13a, 13b, 13c, i.e., at a distance from the target device 13a, 13b, 13c.
[0178] The fluid lines 22 together form a fluid line system 14. This can include, in particular, hose lines.
[0179] In the exemplary embodiment of the Figure 1 It is assumed that media 11a, 11b, 11c are used to produce a chemical 27. In this embodiment, further media 11d, 11e, which serve as washing aids, can also be connected to the dosing device 10. These can be supplied directly to the target device 13a, bypassing the mixing container 21, by appropriately configuring the communication paths.
[0180] The number of containers 41a, 41b, 41c, 41d, 41e connected to the input side of the dosing unit 10 is arbitrary.
[0181] The number of target devices 13a, 13b, 13c connected to the output side of the dosing unit 10 is also arbitrary.
[0182] The invention also includes situations where the dosing device 10 has several mixing containers 21. Different chemicals can be produced in these containers and, if necessary, stored for certain periods of time.
[0183] The dosing device 10 can be assigned a storage element 31 in which information can be stored.
[0184] The dosing device 10 can also include a pre-testing device 40.
[0185] Such a device 40 for preliminary testing also plays a role in the production of chemicals 27 by the dosing device 10 according to the invention.
[0186] The pre-testing device 40 is designed to check, within the framework of the intended production of a chemical 27 from different media 11a, 11b, 11c, before the first medium 11a is added to the mixing container 21, whether all media 11a, 11b, 11c required for this production process are present and available in sufficient quantity.
[0187] The pre-testing device 40 therefore checks, before dosing the first medium 11a for the production of the chemical 27, whether all required media 11a, 11b, 11c are present at the dosing device 10 and are available in sufficient quantity.
[0188] The device 40 also ensures the prevention of mix-ups between media 11a, 11b, 11c. This can be achieved, for example, by using mechanical, color, or electronic coding systems that ensure the correct medium 11a, 11b, 11c is present at a specific inlet 19a, 19b, 19c, 19e of the dosing device 10.
[0189] Figure 4 explains in a more detailed description the mixing container 21 of the exemplary embodiment of the Figure 1 . Such a mixing container 21 can of course also be provided in all other embodiments.
[0190] A feed of the different media 11a, 11b, 11c to the mixing container 21 in accordance with the Figure 1 and 4 This is done via a fluid line 22j. The media successively enter the mixing container 21 through an inlet 34.
[0191] Chemical 27 is produced by successively adding different media 11a, 11b, 11c by mixing. If necessary, for example a stirrer 55 can be provided, which can be driven by a motor 56.
[0192] The agitator 55 can be connected to the control unit 23 of the dosing device 10 via a signal line 25I.
[0193] If mixing or blending of the different media 11a, 11b, 11c is desired, it can also be provided, in addition to or as an alternative to a stirrer 55, that the media 11a, 11b, 11c to be mixed are pumped in circulation through the mixing vessel 21, i.e., pumped in a closed loop.
[0194] The mixing container 21 has an outlet 35, which is connected via a fluid line 22k to an inlet 19g of the metering device 10, according to Figure 1 , is connected.
[0195] The chemical 27 can be extracted from the mixing container 21 via a suction lance 26f. Alternatively, an outlet (not shown) can be provided in the area of the bottom 59 of the mixing container 21.
[0196] The mixing container 21 has one or more safety devices, which are explained below.
[0197] In one embodiment of the invention, an overflow sensor 37 can be arranged on the mixing container, which is connected to the control unit 23 of the dosing device 10 via a signal line 25j. This allows the detection of when a maximum fill level of medium 11a, 11b, 11c or of chemical 27 in the mixing container 21 has been reached or exceeded. An alarm can then be triggered. An alarm indicator device 53 is integrated into Figure 4 hinted at.
[0198] This is connected to the control unit 23 of the dosing device 10 via a 25m signal line. The control unit 43 can generate an acoustic, visual, or electronic alarm. For example, if the overflow sensor 37 is triggered when an overflow occurs, the control unit can generate an emergency stop signal to immediately shut down pump 28.
[0199] The safety device of the mixing container 21 comprises, according to Figure 4 for example, a scale 38, which is connected to the control unit 23 via a signal line 25m.
[0200] According to the invention, the mixing container 21 can be freely suspended by a suspension device 60. The scale 38 can easily measure the weight of the media successively fed into the mixing container 21. The measured values generated by the scale 38 can be transmitted to the controller 23, which, for example, performs a plausibility check.
[0201] The mixing vessel 21 can also include flowmeters (not shown) and measure the delivered volumes of medium, and optionally also the delivered volumes of chemical. The flowmeters can be arranged at any suitable point in the fluid path.
[0202] In this way, the control unit 23 can perform a redundant check to ensure that a predetermined quantity of medium 11a, 11b, 11c pumped by pump 28 actually arrives in the mixing container 21, and that the quantity of medium pumped actually corresponds to the target value.
[0203] Another security device is provided in the form of a POD device 39 (=proof of delivery device).
[0204] The POD unit 39 can be connected to the controller 23 via a signal line 25i.
[0205] The POD device 39 checks whether, as a result of the pump 28 responding in the sense of pumping medium 11a, 11b, 11c, medium actually arrives in the area of the inlet 34 of the mixing container 21, or further downstream of the inlet 34.
[0206] The exemplary embodiment of the Figure 4 shows a variety of signal lines, e.g. 25i, 25j, 25k, 25l, 25m, 25n, all of which are connected to the control unit 23.
[0207] In the Figure 1-3 These signal lines are not shown for the sake of clarity. Figures 1 to 3 However, the diagram shows, in abbreviated form, a signal line 209, which branches off from the control unit 23 and symbolizes a connection to the numerous sensors and devices on the mixing container 21.
[0208] Another embodiment of a dosing device according to the invention will now be described using the Figure 2 explained.
[0209] Here, in contrast to the exemplary embodiment, the Figure 1 Only one mixing distributor arrangement 15 is provided. The output 20a of the mixing distributor arrangement 15 is connected to a switching device 32 via a fluid line 22f.
[0210] The switching device 32 has a motor 24c which is connected to the control unit 23 via a signal line 25x 1.
[0211] The switching device 32 is communicatively, i.e. fluidically, connected on the output side to a target device 13a and to a mixing container 21.
[0212] The switching device 32 can, as a result of the response of the motor 24c, perform a displacement of an actuator. This actuator can assume at least two positions. In a first position, which is in Figure 2 As shown, the inlet 19h of the switching device 32 is communicatively connected to the output 20e and the second output 20b is communicatively separated from the inlet 19h.
[0213] In a second switching position of the actuating element of the switching device 32, which is not shown, the inlet 19h is connected to the outlet 20b and the outlet 20e is sealed against the inlet 19h and against the outlet 20b.
[0214] Such a switching device 32 can, for example, be provided by a ball valve. To avoid repetition, reference is made to DE 10 2024 110 910 A1 of the applicant, in particular to its possible embodiments of such a switching device 32 in the form of a ball valve. Figure 2 and 3 , referred.
[0215] Even in the exemplary embodiment of the Fig. 2Only a single pump 28 is provided, with which media 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d, 11e and a rinsing medium 12 can be selectively pumped, according to the communication paths switched by the control unit 23, either directly to the target device 13a or to the mixing vessel 21. The chemical 27 can also be pumped from the mixing vessel 21 to the target device 13a by the pump 28.
[0216] Upon receiving a request command for medium 11d from the control unit 29 of the target device 13a to the control unit 23, the medium 11d is immediately conveyed to the target device 13 in the requested quantity. If chemical 27 is requested, the media for the production of chemical 27, e.g., a disinfectant, are first conveyed to the mixing vessel 21, and after production, the chemical 27 is conveyed to the target device 13a.
[0217] Other embodiments not shown can be used instead of those shown in Figure 2The switching device 32 shown with only two outputs 20b, 20c includes several outputs which are connected via several fluid lines not shown to several target devices not shown.
[0218] It should be noted that the fluid routing paths of the exemplary embodiment of the Figure 2 a partially modified numbering system, compared to the exemplary embodiment of the Figure 1 exhibit.
[0219] Another embodiment of the invention shows Figure 3 In the exemplary embodiment of the Figure 3 A single mixing distributor arrangement 15 is provided, which by way of example comprises six inlets 19a, 19b, 19c etc. and two outlets 20a, 20b. Such a mixing distributor arrangement is described, for example, in the applicant's German patent application DE 10 2023 123 774 A1.
[0220] A pump 28 is assigned to the outlet 20b, which is connected to a fluid line 22g.
[0221] The outlet 20a, which is connected to the target device 13a via a fluid line 22f, is assigned a second pump 33, which is also referred to as chemical pump 33.
[0222] Pump 33 makes it possible to convey the manufactured chemical 27 to the target device 13a.
[0223] The invention also includes the possibility of conveying media 11d, 11e directly from their containers 41d, 41e to the target device 13a with the aid of the pump 33 and bypassing the mixing container 21.
[0224] Further embodiments not shown can be implemented analogously to the embodiment of the Figure 3 , comprising a mixing distributor arrangement 15, on which more than two outputs 20a, 20b are arranged.
[0225] Corresponding to the number of outlets 20a, 20b, a number of pumps can be provided, for example, a number n of pumps. These can supply the mixing vessel 21 and a number n-1 of target devices with media via separate fluid lines, which are not shown.
[0226] In a further embodiment of the invention, the dosing device 10 can be part of a device 47 for building technology or home technology according to Fig. 5 be.
[0227] Such a device 47 is in Figure 5 sketched.
[0228] To explain the basic operating principle and construction of such a device, reference is made to the applicant's German patent application DE 10 2022 117 183 A1, in order to avoid repetition.
[0229] The device of Fig. 5For example, it can have an outlet 52 through which different media 11a, 11b, etc. are successively fed into a target vessel, e.g., a bucket 48. The chemical 27 is produced in the target vessel by successively feeding in the media.
[0230] In the exemplary embodiment of the Figure 5 The device 47 is equipped with a dosing unit 10 to which three different containers 41a, 41b, 41c are connected on the input side, containing three different media 11a, 11b, 11c. It should be noted that Figure 5 , as well as those to be explained later Figure 6 and 7 , container 41b is not shown for the sake of clarity.
[0231] The device 47 can provide a disinfection solution 27, which is referred to as chemical 27. For example, the disinfection solution can include peracetic acid.
[0232] The three containers 41a, 41b, 41c contain, for example, the three media triacetin, hydrogen peroxide and sodium hydroxide.
[0233] The media are successively fed from the dosing unit 10 to an outlet 52.
[0234] Device 47 of the Figure 5 does not show mixing container 21.
[0235] In the embodiment shown in Figure 47, such a mixing container 21 can be provided.
[0236] The device 47 can have a display device, e.g. a display 61, and in particular an input device 62. Information can be entered by an operator, e.g. information about a desired concentration of the disinfectant solution, possibly also access-controlled.
[0237] The dosing device 10 of the dosing device 47 advantageously also includes a device 40 for preliminary testing to ensure that all necessary media 11a, 11b, 11c for the production of a chemical 27 are connected to the dosing device 10 and are available in sufficient quantity.
[0238] A mixed distribution arrangement 15 can switch different communication paths.
[0239] The controller 23 can in turn address a motor 24 to switch the communication paths. The controller 23 can also address a pump 28 to pump predetermined volumes of medium 11a, 11b, 11c.
[0240] The Figure 6 and 7 Each shows an embodiment of a floor cleaning device 49, which according to Figure 6 as a ride-on vehicle 50 and that according to as Figure 7is designed as a walk-behind device 51. Here, a disinfectant solution or another chemical 27 is supplied via an outlet 52 directly to a floor surface 63 of a building that is to be cleaned or disinfected.
[0241] To avoid repetition, reference is made to the applicant's DE 10 2022 117 183 A1 with regard to the design, construction and operation of such a floor cleaning device 49.
[0242] The control unit 23 can address the motor 24 of the mixing distributor arrangement 15 and switch different communication paths of the mixing distributor arrangement 15 and extract different quantities of media from the containers via the pump 28 and successively feed the different media 11a, 11b, 11c to a mixing container 21.
[0243] The desired chemical 27 can be produced in the mixing vessel 21 and then fed to the outlet 52. The dosing device 10 also has a previously described device 40 for pre-testing.
[0244] Figure 7 Figure 1 shows an alternative embodiment of a floor cleaning device 40, which is designed as a walk-behind device 51, but otherwise functions and is constructed analogously.
[0245] The examples of implementation of the Figures 5 to 7 enable the production of a chemical for carrying out a cleaning process or a disinfection process, wherein the chemical 27 can be produced from different media 11a, 11b, 11c which are arranged in containers 41a, 41b, 41c, 41d, 41e which are connected to the device 47 or to the floor cleaning device 49.
[0246] Here too, on-site production of chemical 27, in particular disinfectant solutions, is possible.
[0247] In particular, in all embodiments, the chemical 27 can be produced in the dosing device 10 or directly adjacent to the dosing device, or directly adjacent to the place of use of the chemical 27.
[0248] Another embodiment will be illustrated using the Figure 8 explained.
[0249] The exemplary embodiment of the Figure 8 essentially corresponds to the embodiment of the Figure 3Here, a device 200 for temperature detection, in the simplest case a temperature sensor 200, is arranged on the container 41a and is connected to the controller 23 via a signal line 201. The controller 23 can use the device 200 to determine the temperature of the medium 11a. The controller 23 can take the temperature of the medium 11a into account during its conveyance. In particular, it can take the temperature of the medium 11a into account when mixing this medium 11a with another medium or with several other media in the mixing container 21 to form a chemical 27.
[0250] The temperature sensor 200 can be arranged, for example, on a wall of the vessel 41a, e.g. on its outside or on its inside.
[0251] However, it can also be located directly at suction lance 26a, for example.
[0252] Suitable temperature sensing devices 200, arranged on a suction lance 26a, are described, for example, in DE 10 2022 117 01 5 A1 of the applicant, which is hereby incorporated by reference to avoid repetition.
[0253] Temperature detection devices 200 can, even if this is in Fig. 8 not shown, also for measuring the temperature of the other media 11b, 11c, 11d, 11e, 12 at the other containers 41b, 41c, 41d, 41e and at the detergent reservoir 36.
[0254] Figure 8 Figure 202 further illustrates a device 202 for detecting or measuring the temperature in an interior of the mixing vessel 21. The device 202 is also connected to the control unit 23 of the dosing device 10 via a signal line 203.
[0255] The dosing unit 10 of the Figure 8The device also includes a device 204 for measuring the ambient temperature. This device is also connected to the control unit 23 of the dosing device 10 via a signal line 205. The device 204 for measuring the ambient temperature can be located near the dosing device 10, e.g., on a housing of the dosing device 10, or near the mixing container 21, e.g., on a housing of the mixing container 21.
[0256] The control unit 23 can take the measured temperature values into account during the execution of dosing processes of media 11a, 11b, 11c for the purpose of conveying the media 11a, 11b, 11c to the target device 13a or for the purpose of conveying the media to the mixing vessel 21a for the production of the chemical 27. The invention also encompasses a dosing device 10 comprising several temperature sensors 200, 202, 204.
[0257] The devices 200, 202, 204, for measuring temperature, are only present in the embodiment of the Figure 8 shown, but can be provided in any embodiment of the invention.
[0258] The exemplary embodiment of the Figure 8 Figure 21 shows a mixing container with a pressure relief valve 206.
[0259] In the event of a reaction between different media 11a, 11b, 11c in the mixing vessel 21, e.g. in exothermic reactions, a pressure relief valve 206 can be provided on the mixing vessel 21 for pressure equalization. This valve can, in particular, be self-opening.
[0260] The invention also encompasses a pressure sensor 207 arranged on the mixing vessel 21 and connected, for example, via a signal line 208 to the control unit 23. The pressure sensor 207 can, for example, detect pressure or an overpressure. Based on information received about the pressure in the mixing vessel 21, the control unit 23 can, if necessary, initiate required actions, such as generating an alarm signal.
