Description
[0001] Prior art reveals slatted bed bases with a surrounding frame to which numerous slats are attached. Such bed bases can feature a reinforced lumbar support area. This reinforcement is achieved by placing an additional slat on top of each existing slat in this area and connecting it to the existing slat via a sliding mechanism. Moving the sliding mechanism allows adjustment of the firmness of the stacked pair of slats. The slats cannot be adjusted vertically relative to the support surface. Adjusting the sliding mechanism is manual and therefore time-consuming, as the bed base must first be exposed and the sliding mechanism manually moved to the desired position. A mattress is then placed on the bed base, and the user checks the firmness setting by lying on the mattress.If the firmness level is not optimally set, the procedure must be repeated until a comfortable firmness is set for that user.
[0002] The object of the invention is to provide a slatted bed base with lumbar support in which the lumbar support can be easily and individually adjusted to suit different users. Furthermore, the lumbar support should preferably be retrofittable and easily accessible for repairs, for reasons of sustainability.

[0004] In order to be able to adjust the lumbar support in a simple way, for example even when the user is in a lying or sitting position on a mattress placed on the slatted frame, the slatted frame has a preferably electrically adjustable lumbar support.
[0005] The lumbar support comprises a slat package which is adjustable relative to a frame of the slatted base, whereby in the basic position the slat package lies in a common plane with the slats fixed to the slatted base and can be adjusted to a support position via a motor-driven knee lever system, in which the slat package is raised and protrudes in front of the slat plane.

Bundles of three parallel slats 6 are held at their ends in a pair of slat holders 20 and are fixed to the frame 5 by these holders. The lumbar support 2 has a bundle of slats 3, which also consists of three slats 6 held at their ends in a pair of slat holders 20. The first ends of the slats 6 are arranged in a first slat holder 20, and the second ends of the slats 6 are arranged in a second slat holder 20. The first fitting 7, the adjusting rod 8, and the slat assembly 3 are also indirectly attached to the auxiliary frame via the aforementioned levers. 1. Slatted frame (1) with a lumbar support (2), wherein the lumbar support (2) comprises a slat assembly (3) which is adjustable or repositioned by an actuator (4) from a basic position in which the slat assembly (3) is arranged in a common plane with slats (6) attached to a frame (5) of the slatted frame (1) to a support position in which the slat assembly (3) is raised out of the plane, wherein the slat assembly (3) is attached to first fitting parts (7) which are held on an adjusting rod (8) directed parallel to the slats (6), wherein the adjusting rod (8) is coupled to the actuator (4) via a toggle lever system (9) and the lateral ends of the slat assembly (3) are supported by support levers (10) on first frame parts (11), wherein the toggle lever system (9) comprises a first adjusting lever (12),the first end of which is longitudinally guided in a second fitting part (13) on a second frame part (14) and connected to a plunger (15) of the actuator (4) and the second end of which is connected to the actuating rod (8), wherein a first steering lever (16) of the toggle lever system (9) is rotatably attached at a first end to the second frame part (14) and is articulated at a second end to the actuating lever (12).
2. Slatted frame with lumbar support according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the lumbar support (2) has an auxiliary frame to which all functional parts of the lumbar support are attached, the auxiliary frame being attached below the plane to the frame (5) of the slatted base (1).

Slatted frame according to claim 2, characterized by the fact thatthe auxiliary frame has transverse and longitudinal struts, wherein the first frame parts (11) and the second frame part (14) are longitudinal struts which are attached to the transverse struts (21) and wherein the auxiliary frame is attached to the frame (5) of the slatted base (1) by means of the transverse struts (21).

Slatted frame according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized by the fact that As a support lever (10) at each lateral end of the slat package (3) a second adjusting lever (17) and a second steering lever (18) are arranged, wherein the second adjusting lever (17) is guided longitudinally at a first end in a third fitting part (19) on the first frame part (11) and is connected at a second end to the adjusting rod (8) and the second steering lever (18) is rotatably attached at a first end to the first frame part (11) and is articulated at a second end to the second adjusting lever (17).

Slatted frame according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized by the fact thatthe slat package (3) comprises three slats arranged parallel to each other in a plane, wherein the first ends of the slats are arranged in a first slat holder (20) and the second ends of the slats are arranged in a second slat holder (20).
6. Slatted frame according to one of claims 2 to 5, characterized by the fact that the auxiliary frame can be detachably attached to or is attached to the frame (5) of the slatted base (1).
7. Slatted frame according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized by the fact that the slat package (3) of the lumbar support (2) is arranged in a free space of the slat frame (1).
