Abstract

Solid catalyst for heterogeneous catalysis, said catalyst being unsupported or supported, and in this latter case comprising an active phase dispersed onto the surface of a catalyst support, said solid catalyst being characterized in that it comprises thin graphitic carbon structures, said thin graphitic carbon structures forming preferably a layer, said thin graphitic carbon structures comprising between about 1 and about 300 graphene layers and preferably between about 1 and about 150 graphene layers.
