Abstract

Light or pendant type product to purify stale indoor air. The invention relates to a product powered by 12V or 220V which combines a support of the suspension type or of the interior light or floor lamp type having an arched profile, which is integral with a housing (9) enclosing one or more fans (13) equipped with filters (14), housing whose lower ventilation vents are surrounded by one or two lampshades, the first of large diameter (10) having a quasi-flat angle and adjustable vents, the second (12) being of smaller diameter with a closed angle reducing the passage of air (11) in junction with the first lampshade and also having adjustable vents until the suction of the fans is almost blocked, multifactorial device causing a depression accelerating the absorption and adsorption flow of stale air and making it possible to purify it largely by filtering odors and tobacco smoke,cooking or combustion from heating systems and other devices polluting indoor air; easily dismantled, all the components of this public health invention are cleanable or replaceable.

Description

Title of the invention: Product of the lighting or suspension type for purifying stale indoor air

[0001] The present invention relates to a new product which combines a support of the type of luminaire, suspension or indoor floor lamp normally provided with light but not necessarily, and which is integrated with combined devices not included in the current state of the art in the field of decontamination of confined air, devices which make it possible to capture stale air as close as possible to its source, to accelerate the suction of its flow and to filter it to purify it to a large extent by eliminating tobacco odors and smoke as well as cooking and combustion odors and smoke from heating systems (wood, oil, etc.) and other devices polluting indoor air.

[0002] Filtration of stale indoor air is normally ensured by a low ventilation system blowing in outside air at the outside temperature and another high ventilation system evacuating the stale air to the outside; this process is very restrictive and costly in terms of prior authorizations (landlord, co-ownership, town hall, etc.), work (exterior wall drilling and insulation, installation of ventilation, facade restoration, renovation of interior embellishments, etc.), in addition to being not very ecological because it generates significant energy losses in cold weather for a large part of the year; certainly this process has been perfected to evacuate odors and smoke in the kitchen (extractor hood) and to eliminate condensates in damp rooms (VMC); however, these techniques, confined to their particular purpose, are unsuitable for filtering the air in living rooms (living room, lounge, bedrooms, etc.), rest rooms, and work rooms.

[0003] The invented product makes it possible to largely remedy the inadequacy denounced in the paragraph above.

[0004] According to a first characteristic, it comprises the association of a support of the light, floor lamp or suspension type, with a combined system for capturing, accelerating and filtering stale indoor air, as close as possible to its source.

[0005] According to a second characteristic, this product constitutes a practical innovation because it can be easily moved by anyone and can be used anywhere inside the living spaces of the home or the work and rest areas of the company.

[0006] The third characteristic of the invention relates to the housing fixed to the end of the mast of the product of the luminaire, floor lamp or interior suspension type; this housing, positioned horizontally or parallel to the ceiling of the room, contains one or more fans sucking up odors and fumes through vents hollowed out in the floor of the box; these fans are topped by pollen, activated carbon or other filters, themselves topped by vents cut into the ceiling of the box through which the filtered air is returned, largely purified, to the interior of the room.

[0007] The fourth characteristic of the invention relates to the system for capturing odors and smoke by surrounding the ventilation vents (located in the floor of the box) with one or two lampshade-shaped modules, the first of large diameter having a quasi-flat profile and vents adjustable to near-closure, the second positioned under the first being of smaller diameter with a more closed angle reducing the passage of air in junction with the first module and also provided with vents adjustable to near-closure of the suction produced by the fans, these combined devices creating a depression which accelerates the flow of absorption and adsorption of the stale air and then allows it to be filtered and purified to a large extent before being returned to the ceiling of the room.

[0013] Figure No. 5 shows, in section and from top to bottom, the suspension mast (1) of the invention, the ventilation box (2), the large diameter lampshade with a flat angle (4) surrounding the vents (3) hollowed out in the floor of the box, the narrowing (5) of the air passage at the junction of the two lampshades, the second very slightly conical lampshade of smaller diameter (6), and the lighting installed where applicable (7).

[0014] Detailed more precisely [Fig. 1] shows the luminaire type product whose arched mast (1) is made up of a hydraulic steel tube in which a 4 or 5 wire electric cable passes to supply the lighting on the one hand, the ventilation on the other hand; this tube is of a variable diameter (16, 18, 20, 21 or 25 mm external), calculated according to the length of the mast (ideally 3 ML with a diameter 15 / 21 to reach a height of approximately 2.15 m with an offset of approximately 1.40 m), the rigidity of which allows it to support without bending the weight of the ventilation system (between 1 and 2 kg depending on the plastic or steel frame of the fans), while having a fairly original and aesthetic appearance; in the end of the tube (1) is inserted at 90° a steel sleeve, articulated or not (7), in which the electric cable passes; the end of this sleeve has an external screw thread allowing the entire system, the subject of the invention, to be suspended using rings screwed onto the mast;the end of this sleeve has a socket inside where a classic or LED bulb can be fixed.

[0015] In the experiment, object of the invention, the arc of the luminaire is made of a stainless steel hydraulic tube of diameter 15 / 21 which has been bent manually; at its base (5) and over a height of approximately 8 cm, the tube at the foot of the mast is crossed and therefore consolidated by a large diameter threaded steel rod which is screwed by a nut welded to the foot of the mast; this rod, provided with washers at the foot of the mast, then crosses the base (6) in concrete and steel and is then screwed with washers and nut under the base; above the threaded rod, at a height of 10 cm from the foot of the mast (5), is provided the hole (3) for penetration into the arced tube of the electric cable (ideally 5 ML) supplying, in 12 V or 220 V, the lighting on the one hand, the ventilation on the other hand.

[0016] [Fig.l] also shows the two push buttons (2) fixed, either on the mast at a height of approximately 1.30 m, or on the box (4) placed on the ground containing, where appropriate, the 220V AC to 12V DC electrical converter enabling the power supply of the lighting on the one hand, and of the ventilation on the other hand.

[0017] Regarding the suspension (figure no. 2), a variant of the invention, the push buttons are fixed to the central mast or operated by remote control; this [Fig.2] shows the ventilation box (2) positioned horizontally, i.e. parallel to the ceiling of the room; this box is ideally crossed in its center by the steel mast (1) at the end of which is the lighting device (8), lighting normally recommended but not essential to the invention; the box made of thin hardboard or plastic is fixed to the mast by a steel or plastic ring screwed under this box which contains one or more fans (5) sucking up odors and fumes through the vents hollowed out in the floor of the box; These fans are topped by pollen, activated carbon or other filters (4), themselves topped by vents (3) cut into the ceiling of the box through which the filtered air is returned purified to the interior of the room.

[0018] [Fig.5] shows, in section, that under the housing (2), is positioned around the mast a 1st cardboard or plastic lampshade (4) of large diameter with a flat angle surrounding the vents hollowed out in the floor of said box (3); this lampshade (4) is itself fitted with cardboard or plastic pads (ref. 1 figure no. 4) which are adjustable to almost block the ventilation vents (ref. 3 figure no. 4); immediately below the 1st lampshade is positioned to narrow the air passage (5), a second lampshade (6) slightly conical and of smaller diameter, also fitted with blocking pads (ref. 1 on figure no. 4); these 2 lampshades are blocked on the mast by a plastic or steel ring; still below is the lighting system (7).

[0019] The product of the luminaire type, indoor floor lamp or suspension, provided or not with a lighting system, is associated with a set of devices unknown in the current state of the art for purifying confined air; this product has never been patented or marketed; in view of the description of each of its elements which, on the other hand, are on the market, this new and public health product is capable of industrial application.

[0020] Each component of the invention being easily and quickly dismantled, cleaned or exchangeable, the index of repairability of the product and availability of its spare parts appears optimal.

[0021] Mention: Figure No. 1 shows the luminaire-type product, object of the invention, which comprises an arched mast, unknown in the trade, comprising 4 angles, each of approximately 158°, the shape of which, not dictated by technical constraints, does not make the product patentable, but

Claims

1. : Product of the indoor luminaire or floor lamp type (ref. 1 figure 1) or indoor suspension (figure 2), with or without a light production system, associated and forming part of devices which capture, accelerate and filter the stale indoor air as close as possible to its source, is characterized in that it allows the capture of odors and fumes thanks to the encirclement of the ventilation vents located in the floor of the box (ref. 3 figure 3) by a module in the form of a large diameter lampshade having a quasi-flat profile and vents adjustable by pellets until almost blocking (ref. 1 and 3 figure 4) the suction produced by the fans, these devices creating a depression which accelerates the absorption and adsorption flow of the stale air and allows it to be filtered and purified to a large extent before its return (ref. 3 figure 2) to the ceiling of the local.

2. : Confined air purification product according to claim 1, characterized in that it can be easily moved by anyone and used anywhere inside the living spaces of the home and the work and rest areas of the company.

3. : Product according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that it comprises a housing (ref. 2 figure 2) fixed at the end of the mast of the light or lamppost (ref. 1 figure 1) or suspension (ref. 1 figure 2); this housing, positioned horizontally or parallel to the ceiling of the room, contains one or more fans (ref. 5 figure 2) sucking up odors and fumes through the vents hollowed out in the floor of the housing (ref. 3 figure 3); these fans are overhung by pollen, activated carbon or other filters (ref. 4 figure 2), themselves overhung by vents hollowed out in the ceiling of the housing (ref. 3 figure 2) through which the filtered air is returned purified to the interior of the room.

4. : Product according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that it allows the capture of odors and fumes thanks to the encirclement of the ventilation vents located in the floor of the box (ref. 3 figure 3) by two modules in the form of a lampshade, the first of large diameter having a quasi-flat profile and vents adjustable by pellets until almost closed (ref. 1 and 3 figure 4), the second lampshade positioned under the first (ref. 6 figure 5) being of smaller diameter with a more closed angle reducing the passage of air (ref. 5 figure 5) in junction with the first lampshade (ref. 4 figure 5) and also equipped with adjustable vents until almost blocking (ref. 1 and 3 figure 4) of the suction produced by the fans, these combined devices creating a depression which accelerates the flow of absorption and adsorption of stale air and which allows it to be filtered and purified to a large extent before its return (ref. 1 figure 3) to the ceiling of the room.
