Abstract

Title: Saddle Tree. A saddle tree consisting of a body (1) to which a cantle (2) is attached, both made of plastic. The body forms, from front to back, a neck (11) with an arch (15). A leg rest (13) extends rearward into a seat (14) for attaching a cantle (2). * The seat (14) is toroidal in shape with at least one cantle attachment point chosen according to the size of the saddle tree to be made. The cantle is chosen from a range of cantle shapes adapted to the different riding disciplines. Figure 1

Demands

1. A saddle tree comprising a body (1) to which a cantle (2) is attached, both made of plastic, the body forming, from front to back, a neck (11) with an arch (15), a leg rest (13) terminating in the cantle (2) attached to the rear of the body (1), a saddle tree characterized in that A) the leg rest (13) extends rearward into a seat (14) for attaching a cantle (2), * the seat (14) being toroidal in shape with at least one cantle attachment point (141-i) chosen according to the size of the saddle tree (100i) to be made, * this attachment point (141-i) being part of a set of attachment points (141-i) (i=ln) predefined on the seat (14) between the attachment point (141-n) of the largest size and that (141-1) of the smallest size of a range of tree sizes (lOOi) (i=ln), * each location ( 14li) (i=ln) being predefined by a line (140-i) corresponding to the rear edge of a cantle (2j).- the body (li) of this saddle tree (lOOi) ending with the edge (140-i) of the location (141-i) retained; B) the cantle (2j) (j= 1,2,3...) being chosen from the group of cantles (2j) of shape adapted to the different riding disciplines and to be fixed to any of the predefined locations (141-i) (i=ln) * the cantle (2j) being formed of a sole (21) whose rear edge 23 is connected to a collar (22) thus forming a curved dihedral, with curved edge (23) at the junction of the sole and the collar (22), * the sole (21) being a toric surface complementary to that of the toric surface of a predefined location (141-i) of the seat (14).

2. Tree according to claim 1, characterized in that the seat (14-141) is the variation of a body (IM) of maximum length whose seat (14) covers all tree body sizes (1-i) at least of a range of tree sizes (100i).

3. Tree according to claim 1, characterized in that the top of the body (1) bears reference marks: lines (140-i) of the rear edges of the locations (141-i), attachment points of the cantle (2) and saddle accessories to be attached to the tree (100-i).

4. Tree according to claim 1, characterized in that the cantle (2) comprises a sole (21) in the shape of an arch, bordered at the rear by a raised collar (22), inclined and of height corresponding to the shape of the types (2j) (j=a, b, c,...) of cantle, this collar (22) being connected to the sole (21) by ribs forming gussets (24).

5. A tree according to claim 1, characterized in that the underside of the neck (11) extended by tabs (12) receiving the arch (15) of the body (1) has an overthickness (111) delimiting a recess (112) forming a housing at the location of the arch to receive the arch (15).

6. Arch according to claim 5, characterized in that the recess (112) is provided with nuts (131) embedded in the bottom of the recess (112) and receiving screws removably fixing the arch (15) in the recess (112).

7. Tree according to claim 5, characterized in that the extra thickness (111) leaves on the contour of the legs (12) and the front of the neck (11) a clearance forming a marginal band (120) for the attachment of the edge of the leather covering of the tree.

8. Tree according to claim 1, characterized in that the underside of the tree is closed by an elastic trapezoid (3) fixed between the front end formed by the neck (11) and the rear end formed by the edge of the cantle (2), the front (3a) of the trapezoid (3) being a flexible piece (31) bordered by a front roll (311) is connected to the stretchable material band and the rear side (3b) of the trapezoid (3) is a flexible rear deformable piece (33), covered with leather or textile, provided on each side with a through hole (36) for the screws for fixing the rear panels.

9. Mold for manufacturing a saddle tree body (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that it comprises - a mold bottom and a mold top forming a mold cavity for the largest size (IM) of a range of saddle tree body sizes (1-i) (100-i), combined with a wedge integrated into the mold to delimit the molding cavity for making a saddle tree body of a size and smaller than the largest size with the shape of the rear edge (140-i) of the body (1-i) to be molded.
