Multifocal glasses

Abstract

The present article is a multifocal eyeglasses with multifocal lenses attached to the left and right rims of the front frame of the eyeglasses frame. The front frame includes left and right rims on which lenses are attached and a bridge connecting the left and right rims, and the left and right temples are connected to the front frame to form the entire eyeglasses frame. The multifocal lenses have semicircular small lenses with missing lower edges, which are located at the bottom of the left and right lenses near the bridge. These small lenses have a different prescription from the rest of the frame and are convex lenses with a different spherical surface shape from the rest of the frame. Furthermore, the lower edges of the left and right rims near the bridge, to which the lower parts of the small lenses are adjacent, are formed with a convex bend on the bottom, and the inner contour of this bend forms the contour of the lower parts of the small lenses. As a result, the shape of the small lenses exposed in a front view is a semicircle with a larger area than the semicircle formed by connecting both ends of the arc of the small lenses with a straight line, thereby widening the field of view through the small lenses.
