AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
Existing pipe manufacturing devices experience interference and wear due to gaps or lack thereof between the raised portions of rehabilitated pipes and the inner surfaces of existing pipes, leading to instability and equipment degradation.
Method used
A self-propelled pipe manufacturing apparatus with cantilevered claws and a bracing mechanism that guides and locks onto the raised portions from both sides, preventing displacement and deformation during the manufacturing process, and includes a trailing belt guide to maintain alignment.
Benefits of technology
The apparatus effectively prevents interference and wear by stabilizing the fitting process, ensuring smooth and stable rehabilitation pipe manufacturing without damaging the device.

Abstract
To provide a small, self-propelled pipe-making device that can avoid or mitigate interference between the pipe-making device and the existing pipe, even when there is almost no gap between the raised portion of the pipe end of the rehabilitated pipe and the inner surface of the existing pipe, thereby reducing wear and tear on the pipe-making device. [Solution] A pipe-making device 10 is used to manufacture a spiral-shaped rehabilitated pipe 9, consisting of a long strip-shaped member 10, along the inner circumference of the existing pipe 1. A pair of drive rollers 31 and 32 of the pipe-making device 20 grip the trailing strip portion 19 of the unmade pipe of the strip-shaped member 10 and push it diagonally toward the rear, causing the opposing edges 10a and 10b of the pipe end 9 of the rehabilitated pipe 9 and the trailing strip portion 19 to interlock with each other, and simultaneously propelling the pipe-making device 10 in the spiral winding direction. A pipe end guide 63 is provided at the bottom 21b of the device body 21 to guide the pipe end 9e of the rehabilitated pipe 9 from the outer circumference. The pipe end guide 63 includes a pair of cantilevered claw portions 67 that extend toward the rear from a cantilevered support position 68, each in an independent cantilevered state. These cantilevered claw portions 67 guide the raised portion 15 for interlocking of the pipe end 9e from both sides.
