Abstract

This disclosure relates to polypeptides comprising an antigenic fragment of the receptor-binding domain (RBD) of coronavirus spike glycoprotein, the protein nanostructure thereof, methods for producing the same, and their prophylactic and therapeutic uses. In some embodiments, the antigenic fragment comprises coronavirus subdomain 1 (SD1). In one embodiment, this disclosure provides a recombinant polypeptide comprising an antigenic fragment of coronavirus spike glycoprotein comprising the receptor-binding domain (RBD) and optionally coronavirus subdomain 1 (SD1). In some embodiments, the antigenic fragment of the polypeptide comprises or is essentially derived from RDB-SD1.
