Lithium metal product manufacturing apparatus and method for manufacturing the same

Abstract

This invention belongs to the field of lithium metal product manufacturing technology and specifically relates to an apparatus and method for manufacturing lithium metal products. The apparatus and method disclosed herein enable continuous production of lithium metal products. Here, the opening of the extrusion barrel is facing upward and installed vertically. The extruder unit has a vertically installed extrusion rod, which is thrust into the cavity of the extrusion barrel through the upper opening of the extrusion barrel. The lower part of the extrusion rod is connected to an extrusion plate that matches the cavity of the extrusion barrel. An opening and closing port for the discharge of lithium metal products is provided on the bottom plate of the extrusion barrel. A first lithium metal transport pipeline is attached to the inlet of a lithium metal storage tank. The discharge port of the lithium metal storage tank and the inlet of the extrusion barrel are connected through a second lithium metal transport pipeline. The initial position of the extrusion plate is located above the inlet of the extrusion barrel. A first gate valve is attached to the second lithium metal transport pipeline. This reduces the lithium metal ingot casting process, efficiently avoids oxidation and nitriding of the lithium metal, and saves energy. It also becomes convenient for cleaning lithium metal that adheres to the inner wall of the extrusion barrel, simplifying the work and enabling labor savings and increased efficiency.
