Abstract

A method, apparatus, and computer program product for privacy-protected homomorphic inference using one-hot data representations. In this method, a client interacting with a cloud-based server submits one-hot maps of Chinese Remainder Theorem (CRT)-based representations of data elements, and the server unpacks these maps in an online phase to obtain complete one-hot maps of the elements. After the server obtains complete one-hot maps, it performs operations, such as comparison operations associated with inference on decision trees, on the one-hot maps under homomorphic encryption and generates results in response. The results are provided back to the client.
