Abstract
Described herein are methods and apparatus for multiple subscriber identity module (SIM) connected mode operation. In one embodiment, a wireless communication device can receive a request for access to a receiver chain during a receive opportunity from an access stratum interface. The wireless communication device can determine that the receive chain is available during the receive opportunity. The wireless communication device can transmit a response indicating that access is granted, allowing the access stratum interface to receive a downlink transmission during the receive opportunity. The wireless communication device can receive a second request for a transmitter chain during a transmit opportunity from the access stratum interface. The wireless communication device can determine that the transmitter chain is available during the transmit opportunity. The wireless communication device can transmit a second response indicating that access is granted, allowing the access stratum interface to transmit an uplink transmission during the transmit opportunity.
