Abstract

To provide an imaging apparatus that generates and outputs a first output signal and a second output signal on the basis of the electric charges generated by different photoelectric conversion units according to the state at the time of imaging.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 1 includes first to third photoelectric conversion units PD1 to PD3 that photoelectrically convert light transmitted through a microlens 15 to generate electric charges, an output unit that outputs a signal based on the electric charge generated by at least one of the first to third photoelectric conversion units PD1 to PD3, and a control unit CU that performs first control of controlling the output unit to output a signal based on the electric charge generated by the first and second photoelectric conversion units as a first output signal, and output a signal based on the electric charge generated by the third photoelectric conversion unit as a second output signal, and second control of controlling the output unit to output the signal based on the electric charge generated by the first photoelectric conversion unit as a first output signal, and output a signal based on the electric charge generated by the second photoelectric conversion unit and the third photoelectric conversion unit as a second output signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
