Abstract

To provide a control device for a vehicle capable of executing stop position control with improved versatility.SOLUTION: A control device is for a vehicle including an internal combustion engine as a travelling power source. The control device for the vehicle includes: a control section executing stop position control of the internal combustion engine by switching a throttle opening from a first opening to a second opening larger than the first opening and causing the throttle opening to become lower than the second opening during inertia rotation in which combustion is stopped in automatic stop of the internal combustion engine; an acquisition section acquiring speed of the internal combustion engine and a temperature of the internal combustion engine during execution of the stop position control; and a setting section setting the first opening to a larger value as the speed of the internal combustion engine is higher and to a larger value as the temperature of the internal combustion engine is lower.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
