Abstract

To considerably alleviate a burden on a driver when backward parking a vehicle in a parking space with a comparatively narrow width, without introducing an imaging device with higher detection accuracy and a three-dimensional object information acquisition device.SOLUTION: A parking control device comprises a control unit 10 capable of executing backward-parking support control on the basis of peripheral information. In the case that a parking space is detected, the control unit determines whether or not a specific condition, which is established when a width of the parking space is comparatively narrow, is established. If the specific condition is established, the control unit executes guide control, as backward-parking support control, for moving a vehicle based on peripheral information, from a current position to a target guide position being a position in front of the parking space, so as to stop in a posture where a longitudinal axis of the vehicle is parallel to a longer direction of the parking space, a vehicle width is included in a width of the parking space in a front face view of the vehicle, and a rear end of the vehicle is adjacent to the parking space relative to a front end, at the target guide position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
