Abstract

A beverage dispensing assembly comprising a dispenser and a beverage container, the beverage container having a neck portion and a shoulder portion adjacent the neck portion, the neck portion being provided with at least an outlet opening and at least one gas inlet opening, the dispenser comprising a housing provided with a receiver for receiving at least a portion of the container, the container being positioned within the dispenser with the neck portion and shoulder portion facing downwards, the neck portion and at least a portion of the shoulder portion being received within the receiver, a portion of the shoulder portion extending near and / or in contact with a wall of the receiver, and preferably a lid being provided over the container and enclosing the portion of the container extending outside the receiver.
