AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing measuring devices for calculating the suction filtration time ratio require separate preparation of distilled water, which is inconvenient and inefficient.

Method used

A measuring device comprising a first measurement system, a second measurement system, and a time measuring unit, where the first system filters sample water, and the second system filters water previously filtered by the first system, with the time measuring unit calculating the suction filtration time ratio using the filtration times from both systems.

Benefits of technology

Enables the calculation of the suction filtration time ratio without the need for separate distilled water preparation, using filtered water as a substitute, thus improving measurement efficiency and convenience.

Abstract

To provide a new measuring device capable of calculating a suction filtration time ratio even without separately preparing distilled water for measuring a suction filtration time.SOLUTION: A first measurement system 2 filters stored sample water while sucking the stored sample water. A second measurement system 3 filters the stored water filtered by the first measurement system 2 again while sucking the stored water. In order to identify a "suction filtration time Ta of the sample water" which is information necessary for calculating a suction filtration time ratio, a time measuring part 7 measures the filtration time in the first measurement system 2 and also measures the filtration time in the second measurement system in order to specify a "suction filtration time Tb of a distilled water" which is information necessary for calculating the suction filtration time ratio. The time measuring part 7 calculates an STR value based on the suction filtration times Ta, Tb.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
