AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

The inserter of the existing continuous blood glucose monitoring system is complex in structure and high in manufacturing costs, and lacks efficient and economical solutions.

Method used

A continuous analysis monitoring inserter device is designed, including external and internal members, transmitter carrier, eccentric members and insertion devices, which press the eccentric members through axial motion to support the movement of the insertion device and withdraw the insertion device by swinging of the eccentric members.

Benefits of technology

A simplified inserter structure and reduced manufacturing costs are achieved, improving efficiency and safety of the insertion process, while supporting reusable and biodegradable materials, enhancing the sustainability of the equipment.

Abstract

To provide an improved inserter apparatus.SOLUTION: An inserter apparatus for inserting a continuous analyte monitoring transmitter and a biosensor includes: an outer member having a first window and a first positioning element; an inner member having a second window and a second positioning element and being configured to make the first element connected to the second element to position the first window and the second window; a transmitter carrier including a bias member; and a pivot member for turning with respect to the transmitter carrier, and including an element for supporting an insertion device and an element to be connected to an end element of the bias member. The outer member slides with respect to the inner member during insertion to press the bias member against the pivot member. During insertion, the insertion device inserts the sensor into a user subcutaneous area, the first window is overlapped on the second window, the pivot member enters the overlapped widows, and the pivot member is prevented from turning by the inner member until the bias member turns the pivot member to draw the insertion device from the subcutaneous area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3A
