AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing diagnostic devices for power converters that drive motors are inefficient in detecting motor abnormalities, such as short-layer motor layers, in a timely manner due to the time-consuming process of calculating statistics from amplitude and frequency data.

Method used

A control device with a state detection circuit that includes a high-frequency separator and an analyzer, which separates high-frequency components from electrical signals between the inverter circuit and the motor, and outputs frequency and signal strength data for determining the state of the refrigeration cycle device.

Benefits of technology

Enables faster detection of motor abnormalities by quickly determining non-steady states based on high-frequency component analysis, allowing for prompt action to prevent further damage.

Abstract

Provided are a control device, a state detection circuit, a state detection method, a control method, and a program that enable early detection of the state of a refrigeration cycle device. The control device (1) comprises: a state detection circuit (3); and a control circuit (6) that controls a drive circuit (2) that drives a motor (11) of a compressor of the refrigeration cycle device. The state detection circuit (3) outputs at least one of the frequency and signal strength of a target high-frequency component from the target high-frequency component that is higher than a carrier frequency of an inverter circuit (22) separated from an electric signal passing through connection lines (Lu, Lv, Lw) between the inverter circuit (22) and motor (11) of the drive circuit (2), and the control circuit (6) stops or restricts the operation of the drive circuit (2) when, on the basis of at least one of the output frequency and signal strength, it is determined that the state of the refrigeration cycle device is in a non-steady state.
