Abstract

The present invention relates to a cable joint (1) for connecting two current conductor sections that conduct direct current, comprising a control body (3) and a conductive connecting piece (2) surrounded by the control body, wherein the connecting piece comprises a first receiving portion and a second receiving portion, so that the conductor end of the first current conductor section may be inserted into the first receiving portion to form an electrical contact between the connecting piece and the conductor end of the first current conductor section, and the conductor end of the second current conductor section may be inserted into the second receiving portion to form an electrical contact between the connecting piece and the conductor end of the second current conductor section, and the control body comprises insulated spaced-apart concentric conductive control inserts (11 to 17) for resistance field control.
